Microsoft is going to launch Windows 10 at some point this summer, and the operating system will be available free of charge to users who are already running either Windows 7 or Windows 8 on their computers. Everyone else will likely have to pay for it by either purchasing a computer that runs Windows 10 out of the box, or by buying a license, though Microsoft hasn’t shared pricing details for the new OS yet.
However, even users who don’t qualify for the free upgrade will be able to score a free Windows 10 download this summer.
