Amazon has shifted much of its focus away from so-called nonessential goods so it can devote more resources to shipping medical supplies to hospitals.
Despite the huge temporary change, there are still new deals that pop up each week on popular products including Amazon devices.
We’ve seen several sales already on this like Fire TV Sticks and Kindles, but this week Amazon is offering deep discounts on the Echo Dot and other best-selling Alexa speakers.

Pretty much everyone out there at this point is aware of Amazon’s temporary strategic shift. Maybe you saw the big announcement or perhaps you’ve just been trying to shop for various common items and noticed that they’re not shipping until sometime in late April or even early May. Whatever the case, Amazon has decided to temporarily suspend shipments of most nonessential goods, and it’s also not restocking them until sometime toward the end of the month. This way, the company can free up warehouse space and delivery capacity for things like medical supplies and cleaning products going to hospitals and government customers.

While most shipments of nonessential products are delayed, there are still plenty of deals to be found on popular items that will be delivered immediately. And needless to say, plenty of Amazon’s own devices are included among them. We’ve seen new deals each week on Amazon devices, and this week brings deep discounts on the wildly popular Echo Dot as well as several other Echo speakers and Echo Show smart displays.

Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with Alexa – Charcoal: $39.99

The Echo Dot is one of Amazon’s two best-selling products of all time, and it’s pretty easy to see why. You get access to Alexa and all the awesome skills that come along with it, but the Dot costs a fraction of what Amazon charges for other Echo speakers. It’s normally just $50, but a limited-time sale slashes 20% off that already-low price, cutting your cost to just $39.99.

Aside from the Echo Dot, you’ll also find two more deals on Alexa speakers that offer the biggest discounts of the year. First, you can snag the $100 Echo speaker for just $69.99, a savings of $20. Meanwhile, the upgraded Echo Plus is $30 off at $119.99 instead of $150, and you can snag the entry-level Echo Flex that fits anywhere for only $19.99.
