Remember back in the old days when you had to choose between buying an affordable Kindle eBook reader that you could only use in the light and spending another $40+ on a model with backlighting so you could read it at night? The Kindle is available for just $59.99, and that really is a terrific price. For just $25 more though, you can get yourself a Kindle Paperwhite instead, and it’s definitely worth the upgrade.

All the different storage sizes are discounted as well right now, as are the versions without “special offers,” which are ads that are displayed on the screen when the Kindle is in standby mode. Honestly though, you don’t even notice the ads at all and they’re obviously not displayed while you’re using the Kindle, so we recommend saving the extra cash and getting a version with special offers.
