Benchmarks for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20+ just leaked online
- Benchmark scores for Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Note 20+ have leaked online.
- Samsung’s upcoming phablet will likely trounce all other Android handsets performance-wise, though it will have similar specs to the recently released Galaxy S20.
- The device, however, may not come close to matching what Apple will deliver with the A14 poised to power its upcoming iPhone 12. It’s still unclear, however, if the iPhone 12 will be released in 2020.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Even though we’re barely a month removed from Samsung introducing its next-gen Galaxy S20 smartphone lineup, we’re already starting to see a lot of rumors for the Galaxy Note 20+ starting to make their way down the pipeline. Of course, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that Samsung, in stark contrast to Apple, has never really seemed to care about product leaks. If anything, the company seems to embrace them and it’s not unusual for us to know every single detail about a new Samsung product a few weeks before the company officially unveils it.
Just a few weeks ago, for instance, word surfaced that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20+ will take advantage of next-gen flash storage with faster read and write speeds. In short, the Note 20+ will provide some performance improvements over the Galaxy S20. Incidentally, there are also rumblings that all entry-level Note 20 models will ship with 128GB of storage.

- The coronavirus impact on the economy has been severe, to the point of catastrophe for many business owners that have been forced to close for an indefinite period of time and lay off workers.
- Many restaurants are trying to hang on by offering to-go and delivery meal options, but a survey of restaurant owners finds that the vast majority don’t think they’ll be able to endure a closure that lasts more than a month.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
If you’re spending part of your coronavirus quarantine at home trying your best to order takeout or delivery in support of your favorite local restaurant — and you should, because so many of them are barely getting by right now — we’ve got some unsurprising news about the future of many of those eateries.
According to a recent James Beard Foundation survey of food industry players like chefs and restaurant owners, most restaurants (60% of survey respondents) said their restaurant wouldn’t be able to survive if it had to close for a month. The vast majority (75%) said a two-month closure would be an absolute death-knell for their business.

- Zoom users have been raising concerns about the way the platform handles privacy and security ever since the app began to gain traction when the novel coronavirus outbreak became a pandemic.
- Zoom CEO Eric S. Yuan published a blog post on Wednesday acknowledging those issues and promising to address them as soon as possible.
- For the next 90 days, Zoom will have a feature freeze and focus solely on trust, safety, and privacy.

For better or worse, Zoom’s video conferencing software has been the center of attention for the past few weeks. As the novel coronavirus pandemic forces millions of individuals all over the world into quarantine to mitigate its spread, Zoom has been the tool of choice for both personal and professional video calls. But as a once niche enterprise app turned into an international phenomenon almost overnight, privacy and security concerns that might not otherwise have registered are suddenly making headlines, and Zoom has had no choice but to respond.

Doctors found a coronavirus patient who was contagious for 49 days
- A COVID-19 patient from China was infectious for 49 days after having been infected with the novel coronavirus.
- The patient had mild symptoms that disappeared in a few days, but he kept testing positive. He was just as infectious as COVID-19 patients who experienced more severe cases.
- The chronic patient tested negative only after he received plasma from COVID-19 survivors.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
The novel coronavirus infection is largely stable, according to several researchers who are tracking mutations to assess the viability of vaccines. The more often a virus mutates, the harder it is to eradicate. The flu is the best example of that, as the virus mutates rapidly, which is why you need a different shot every year. The COVID-19 virus mutates too, and scientists have been able to observe a strain that might be more difficult to cure. According to the new discovery, a patient in China was highly infectious for no less than 49 straight days, which is a record for the disease. He recovered only after being treated with antibodies taken from a different survivor.

The EPA’s latest coronavirus warning is about flushing the toilet
- The Environmental Protection Agency is begging Americans to avoid flushing disinfectant wipes and other types of cleaning materials with pre-applied chemicals and cleaners.
- Wipes like these do not break down as easily as toilet paper and can cause serious problems in the sewer system and waste treatment process.
- The EPA says that disinfectant wipes and other similar products are to be disposed of in the trash rather than the toilet.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
As the threat of the novel coronavirus spread across the globe, lots and lots of shoppers in the United States began to stockpile cleaning supplies. Sanitizing and disinfecting wipes were high on the shopping lists of many Americans, and now the Environmental Protection Agency is dealing with those products in the most unfortunate way. Apparently, people have been dumping them in the toilet.
The EPA recently issued a bulletin begging Americans to only flush toilet paper, along with whatever else your body might need to deposit into the toilet bowl and avoid flushing things like disinfecting wipes. These wipes, the EPA emphasizes, are not made to be flushed and should instead be discarded in the trash after being used.
