iPhone 12 fall release still possible, says Apple’s top manufacturing partner
- The iPhone 12 may still be on track for a fall 2020 release, according to Foxconn.
- Though Apple’s iPhone partners in China are operating at full capacity, the same can’t be said for iPhone suppliers in other countries.
- The iPhone 12 release date will reportedly be decided upon by Apple executives sometime next month.

Despite a number of logistical setbacks on account of the coronavirus, Foxconn recently assured investors that it can ramp up iPhone 12 production and have the device ready for a launch later this fall. Of course, with the coronavirus still an ongoing concern in most parts of the world, Foxconn investor relations chief Alex Yang added that everything remains subject to change.

How long should you stay in isolation after coronavirus symptoms go away?
- Not all the patients fighting off an infection of the novel coronavirus will be admitted to hospitals, as many cases show mild-to-moderate symptoms that can be treated at home.
- The guidelines for leaving isolation, however, can differ, ranging from three days to 14 days after symptoms disappear.
- Studies have shown that patients can still be contagious after symptoms subside, so isolation might be required to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the world had more than 655,000 active COVID-19 cases. More than 185,000 people have beat the disease, while the novel coronavirus has killed more than 44,000 people. This brings the grand total to nearly 900,000 cases, with the US accounting for nearly 200,000 of them. These figures will continue to rise in the coming weeks, and it could be months until the world can declare the pandemic over.
If you’re infected but aren’t fighting for your life attached to machines in a hospital, you’re one of the lucky ones. Most people show no symptoms or only experience mild ones. With medical systems overloaded by coronavirus patients right now, milder cases will be treated at home. But even if the novel coronavirus infection is annihilated by your immune system, your fight isn’t over. You won’t be able to come out of isolation the minute you start feeling better. And you might be advised to wait anywhere from three days to two weeks before you can stop self-isolating.

US intelligence report says China misled the world about coronavirus
- The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic that began with an initial outbreak in China has gone on to ravage cities around the world, resulting in more than 911,000 confirmed cases globally as of Wednesday afternoon. That’s according to the latest numbers from Johns Hopkins University.
- US intelligence officials, meanwhile, have delivered a report to the White House accusing China of basically lying about all of the important facts related to the virus — including about its numbers of confirmed cases as well as deaths.
- Those have been critical pieces of information, because public health officials and the White House coronavirus task force has used data from China to inform its modeling and predictions about what the novel coronavirus will do in the US.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
As the number of confirmed cases and deaths stemming from the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to spike in the US, intelligence officials have submitted a report to the White House accusing China — which saw an initial outbreak of the virus in late 2019 — of misleading everyone about the most important aspects of the deadly virus.
The report, which was actually delivered to the White House last week, reaches a definitive conclusion about China’s number of cases and deaths from the virus which officials think the communist nation has deliberately under-counted. That matters in a big way, because US officials have based a lot of their modeling and understanding about the virus on what they’ve seen unfold in China, as well as what leaders there have reported about the virus.

New iOS 14 leak reveals an upgrade for Apple’s password manager
- iCloud Keychain is Apple’s built-in password manager for macOS and iOS devices.
- Leaked code from an early build of iOS 14 suggests that Apple is working on an upgrade for iCloud Keychain that would put it on par with some of the more popular third-party password managers.
- New features for iCloud Keychain include notifying users when they are reusing their passwords and making it ever easier for users to log in to accounts with two-factor authentication.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Slowly but surely, details about Apple’s next major update for iOS have been trickling out in recent weeks. Thanks to a major leak, we’ve learned that iOS 14 will be packed with new features and changes, such as handwriting recognition, a list view for apps, and a fitness app made by Apple. iOS 14 has also seemingly confirmed a variety of new devices, including the iPhone 9, AirTags, a pair of premium headphones, and even a notch-less iPhone.
But the leaks haven’t stopped yet, as 9to5Mac reported on Wednesday that yet another interesting change has been uncovered in an early build of iOS 14. Apple is said to be testing several upgrades for iCloud Keychain on its updated operating system. iCloud Keychain is a feature available on iOS and macOS that stores passwords and credit cards for those who choose to use it. It lags behind other password apps, but that may change soon.

The iPhone 9 might launch on the same day as the OnePlus 8 Pro
- Apple’s iPhone 9 might be unveiled on April 14th, the same day when the OnePlus 8 series is expected to launch.
- An insider claims Apple is considering that particular date to mess with the Chinese smartphone maker.
- The iPhone 9’s release date might be April 24th, according to the report.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
We’re likely days away from the official reveal of the iPhone 9, which has also been referred to as the iPhone SE 2. But regardless of what Apple calls it, the affordable phone will certainly be popular with buyers, given what the rumors have claimed. The handset will have the same design Apple used for every phone from the iPhone 6 through the iPhone 8, which means Touch ID support is very much in the picture. But the iPhone 9 will also feature the same A13 chip that powers the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The best thing about the iPhone 9 might be the price, though, especially considering the looming economic crisis. The iPhone 9 is rumored to cost $399 when it launches. And the phone’s arrival seems imminent. We already saw leaked accessories for the handset that reached stores, as well as references to the new device in the code for the iOS 13.4.5 beta. Now, an insider with a great track record claims that Apple will launch the handset next week… on the exact same day that the OnePlus 8 Pro is supposed to drop.

Of course these spring breakers returned to Texas with coronavirus
- Dozens of young spring breakers have the novel coronavirus after heading to Mexico despite advice from health and government officials to avoid such trips.
- 28 cases have been confirmed out of around 70 young adults who made the trip, and each of the confirmed COVID-19 patients is now in self-isolation.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
A group of spring breakers from Austin, Texas, returned to the state and brought a whole bunch of infectious diseases with them. As The Hill reports, the Austin Public Health Department confirmed that roughly 70 20-somethings took an ill-advised trip to Mexico to celebrate Spring Break in Cabo San Lucas, and now nearly half of them have tested positive for the novel coronavirus that is sweeping the nation.
Health officials and government agencies have advised avoiding all travel for several weeks now, and students across the United States were urged to pause or cancel their Spring Break plans out of an abundance of caution. Many did just that, but others decided to roll the dice, and now they and their loved ones are paying the price.

The 10 best movies and shows coming to Netflix in April 2020
- Netflix is adding dozens of shows and movies to its streaming service in April, but these are the ten we think you should add to your queue this month.
- All six seasons of Community are coming to Netflix after being stuck on Hulu for years.
- Returning Netflix originals include Money Heist, Hi Score Girl, and After Life.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
When I wrote the March 2020 edition of this feature, I had no idea that just days later, we would all be stuck inside for weeks or even months on end, desperate for something to do as we all ride out the novel coronavirus pandemic. The good news is that streaming services like Netflix have been keeping us occupied in the meantime, as we’ve all been catching up on our favorite shows and freaking out about Tiger King.
Sadly, there’s no second season of Tiger King to entertain us this month, but there are several notable additions to the Netflix library this month. For example, all six seasons of the beloved NBC sitcom Community are coming to the streaming service on Wednesday, April 1st. For years, Hulu was the only place to legally watch Community, but now Netflix subscribers can join in on the fun as well. Even the Yahoo! Screen season is included.

Scientists could turn immune system’s response into a coronavirus cure
- A team of researchers in China were able to identify strong antibodies from COVID-19 survivors that were “extremely effective” at blocking the novel coronavirus from attaching to cells.
- Drugs based on their findings could be used in COVID-19 therapies in the future, assuming clinical trials go well.
- Testing could start in as little as six months in a best-case scenario.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Treating a new disease like COVID-19 poses a major problem, as doctors have to rely on existing drugs to attenuate symptoms, boost the immune system’s response, and prevent complications. It’s all in the hope that the body will produce effective antibodies that will eventually kill the virus. That’s why doctors are trying a garden variety of medicines that are commonly used to treat everything from HIV, malaria, and heart disease to erectile dysfunction. A drug created to treat Ebola also showed promise, but there’s no universal therapy to deal with the novel coronavirus infection right now. That might change in the not too distant future, as researchers from China have identified antibodies that produce an “extremely effective” response at blocking SARS-CoV-2 from entering cells. These antibodies might be used in the future to create drugs meant to treat COVID-19.
