Apple Pay is a product that has thus far seemed to mirror many successful products Apple has launched before it. As was the case with the iPod, iPhone and iPad, Apple was not the first company to enter this emerging category. Mobile payment systems have existed in various parts of the world for more than a decade, in fact. Instead, Apple took its time to launch the best product it could build, not the first product it could build, and the result is a terrific user experience that is gaining acclaim and traction in these early days.

Now, however, it appears as though Apple Pay has hit the first major hurdle it must overcome on the road to widespread adoption.

One of NSA’s most precious spying tools was just uncovered

Spy agencies have some very smart tools at their disposal for their surveillance and data gathering operations, many leaks have revealed so far, but Russian security agency Kaspersky Lab has uncovered one of the most important such cyber weapon available to the NSA, Reuters reports. According to the company, a country which it decided not to identify, but which the publication confirmed to be the U.S., has been able to sneak malware in a critical part of a computer, which practically made it possible not only to spy on a variety of targets with ease, but also bypass any security measures, and reinfect the machines over and over.

Things just GOT REAL: Video evidence released in case of LG exec allegedly sabotaging a Samsung washing machine

Welcome to the weird and wild world of South Korean consumer electronics giants. While Apple and Samsung’s court battles are certainly the most widely publicized, LG now finds itself in Samsung’s sights for an entirely different reason: According to Samsung’s allegations, LG executive Jo Seong-Jin, and two other LG employees intentionally damaged a Samsung washing machine in a German store.

The evidence supporting Samsung’s case was compelling enough that an indictment has been issued, and now some of the most damning evidence may have come to light. LG on Monday released some video evidence it claims exonerates Jo, however Samsung says that the evidence has been tampered with.
