Google kicked off a big developer’s conference on Wednesday for Project Ara, its experimental smartphone project that could allow for the creation of fully modular phones. Droid Life notes that as part of its opening keynote on Wednesday, Google “unveiled a massive gallery of the updated Ara skeleton with modules and other customizations to show the potential as we get closer to availability.” Below you’ll find a few of these new pictures showing off Google’s crazy experimental smartphone.

Reuters: Samsung has approached BlackBerry about a possible takeover
Although BlackBerry has officially been off the market for more than a year now, that apparently hasn’t stopped it from getting interested suitors. Reuters‘ Jennifer Ablan is reporting that Samsung has recently approached BlackBerry about the possibility of a takeover. Specifically, Ablan reports that Samsung is willing to buy BlackBerry “for as much as $7.5 billion, looking to gain access to its patent portfolio.”

Amazon will bring Woody Allen where he’s never been before
Amazon on Tuesday announced that it’s working on a new TV series that’s going to be exclusively available for streaming to Prime subscribers. No real surprise there, of course, considering that Amazon has gotten so good at this it actually won a Golden Globe with one of its original series this year. But the move is one that many moviegoers will likely line up to watch; for the first time in his career, Woody Allen has agreed to write and direct a television series.

Forget The Pirate Bay and Netflix: This might be the best way to watch movies online
Plenty of online services, some more legal than others, offer users instant access to movie downloads and streaming. But one company has come up with a new concept for watching movies at home that doesn’t involve buying, renting or stealing movies. The service is cheaper than Netflix — it’s actually free for the time being — and legal, as opposed to illegal downloads from The Pirate Bay or other similar torrent services.

The struggle is real: I’m back to using an iPhone 6 Plus
