Paid apps will be more expensive for some iPhone, iPad and Mac users
Apple is about to increase paid apps prices for some users, the company told developers, with the change affecting both App Store and Mac App Store customers. The change will impact customers in Canada, the European Union, Norway, Iceland and Russia, 9to5Mac reports.

The Galaxy S6 ‘Edge’ might have some serious competition this year
Samsung has already released a smartphone with a strange display — the Galaxy Note Edge that has an “Edge” screen on the right side — and it’s rumored to place two such touchscreen displays on either side of a special version of the Galaxy S6’s main screen. Apple may have sold 69M iPhones during Christmas quarter, shattering records and estimates
With almost three weeks to go until Apple announces its quarterly earnings for its first quarter of fiscal year 2015 (ending in December 2014), analysts from UBS have revealed in a new note to investors seen by AppleInsider that the company may have sold significantly more iPhones during the period than expected, beating its own record and Wall Street’s estimates in the process.

Nearly 70% of iPhones and iPads are now running iOS 8
This week, Apple updated the iOS distribution graph on its website for the first time in 2015. As of January 5th, iOS 8 adoption has reached 68%, a 5% jump since December. It’s not quite as much growth as the operating system saw from November to December, but iOS 8 is still picking up users at a much faster pace than the competition.
