Pirates just can’t get enough of HBO’s fantasy smash hit. TorrentFreak reports that Game of Thrones was the most downloaded TV show of the year, making this the third year in a row that the show has taken the top spot. The season finale alone was downloaded more than 8 million times from BitTorrent, putting it leagues ahead of the next most popular downloads.

Apple Pay is about to reach another key milestone
Low prices won’t be the only reason for you to smile at the gas pump in early 2015. Per MacRumors, Chevron announced on its Twitter account this week that it’s “working alongside Apple to develop solutions to integrate with Apple Pay at the pump by early 2015.” This means that iPhone users could soon use their favorite devices to pay for their gas as well as other assorted goods.

These are the encryption services the NSA can’t crack
The ripples from the massive National Security Agency leak orchestrated by former contract worker Edward Snowden continue to be felt even now. While most of the eye-opening revelations are behind us, the sheer volume of confidential documents exposed by Snowden has resulted in a continued trickle of information. Now, a new report covering information pulled from leaked NSA documents reveals several encrypted services that the NSA has been able to crack in its widespread data collection efforts.
More importantly, perhaps, the report identifies a number of secure services with encryption that the NSA has been unable to crack.
