This ‘sexy’ PS4 commercial is actually so offensive that Sony had to pull it
Sony has published a new PlayStation 4 ad on its European PlayStation channel, but pulled it rather fast (technically, the ad is listed as private) after realizing the commercial can be perceived as quite offensive to a certain group of gamers. The ad — which is still available on YouTube, as it has been quickly reposted by others — features an attractive female doctor who seems to suggest the viewer has been “furiously masturbating,” as Business Insider puts it.

Samsung thinks you need a house full of Galaxy gadgets to brighten your Christmas
Samsung on Tuesday released a new promo video to kick off the holiday season, highlighting several Galaxy-branded devices and other Samsung products, with the help of famed Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, the celebrity couple the company already used in a different ad in mid-September.

Despite the iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung is still America’s phablet king
Although 2014 has been a pretty bad year for Samsung overall, the company can still take solace in the fact that people still seem to love its gigantic phones more than any other models — including the iPhone 6 Plus. Chitika has done some analysis of North American smartphone traffic from devices whose displays measure in at 5 inches or greater and has found that despite the added competition from Apple this fall, Samsung is still America’s phablet king.

Why Apple’s sapphire iPhone display plan may have been doomed from the start
It’s pretty clear that something went very wrong between Apple and its bankrupt sapphire supplier GT Advanced Technologies over the past year. That said, Technology Review points out that there are good reasons to believe that Apple’s sapphire display plan for the iPhone 6 may have been doomed from the start because it seems both Apple and GT Advanced underestimated the major difficulties involved in mass producing large sapphire screens.

Is this mystery satellite Putin’s secret space weapon?
An oddball Russian satellite that launched to orbit last May is now raising suspicions. The so-called Object 2014-28E was put into orbit at the same time with several communications satellites, but Russia has not elaborated on its purpose. The object has been maneuvering in a precise way and it’s possible its purpose is to clear out space junk or refuel other satellites.

LG is already rolling out Lollipop for its best phone of the year
