Apple on Tuesday released its first iOS 8.2 beta software to developers and at the same time, the company also gave developers the tools they’ll need to build apps for the upcoming Apple Watch. While Apple’s first device in the wearables category isn’t expected to launch for another few months, Apple wants to ensure that third-party developers have enough time to make great apps for the new Apple Watch that are ready in time for launch.
Of course, as people begin to dig through those developer tools, new details about the Apple Watch are coming to light.

Apple releases iOS 8.2 beta with tools for Apple Watch
Apple began seeding a beta version of iOS 8.2 on Tuesday, November 18th alongside the official launch of the WatchKit development tools for the upcoming Apple Watch. iOS Developer Program members can download the SDK right away at developer.apple.com/watchkit.

ONE YEAR LATER: The state of PS4 and Xbox One
A year ago this month, we were introduced to the next generation of game consoles: the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Despite the lack of game releases, most of us were just relieved that new consoles had finally hit the market. We’d spent nearly a decade waiting for this moment and it was finally here.

Apple slapped with $24M fine for stealing tech from old SkyTel pagers
Apple on Tuesday was ordered to pay a $23.6 million fine to Texas-based Mobile Telecommunications Technologies after being found guilty on Monday evening of infringing six patents. A federal jury in Marshall, Texas determined that Apple’s iPhone and several other Apple devices make unlawful use of the patented technologies, which relate to pagers and date back to the 1990s.
This marks the second recent trial in which Apple was accused of stealing pager technology — the first was in California last month and Apple escaped unscathed.
