New report may reveal on-contract pricing for Google’s Nexus 6
The recently unveiled Nexus 6 happens to be Google’s biggest and most expensive Nexus smartphone yet, but Google told CNET that it believes more people will buy the device regardless of its comparatively hefty price tag, and support from carriers will help. Unlike before, five U.S. mobile operators will have the smartphone in stores this year, including the four major players, and that’s also a first for a Nexus smartphone.

Here’s the $100 smartphone Microsoft says is better than the iPhone
When in doubt, attack the iPhone. This is a strategy that has been employed countless times over the past seven years, ever since Apple’s iPhone first came along and turned the smartphone industry on its head in 2007. One company actually managed to turn iPhone-bashing into a successful business, but it costs Samsung double-digit billions in marketing money each year to make its anti-Apple campaign work. Of course, most companies don’t have that kind of money to spend on marketing and advertising, so they haven’t fared quite as well.
Microsoft is no stranger to targeting Apple in marketing, of course, and its latest effort is one of its most curious to date.

Tesla lowers Model S lease price, adds 3-month ‘happiness guarantee’

Lower Lease Cost Applies Even If You Keep The EV
Tesla Motors is offering an enticing deal for potential buyers who might not be entirely sure whether they actually want to own a Model S for the long term. A deal through US Bank not only lowers the cost to lease the EV but also turns leasing the brand’s electric sedan into a long-term rental.
Curious buyers who lease a Model S are now able to return it in the first three months with no penalties and with the remaining payments waived, something Tesla is calling the “happiness guarantee.” CEO Elon Musk announced the deal on the company’s blog, and he said the payments were also as much as 25 per cent lower because US Bank “has a much lower cost of capital than us.” Tesla leasing is available in 38 US states (full list below). Canada isn’t on the list yet. Contact your Local Canadian Tesla dealer for any questions.
Of course, there is a catch for the offer. If people turn in their Model S within three months, they can’t immediately lease another one. Musk doesn’t say how long the wait is.
The new leasing deal isn’t a solution for those owners who want their Model S to always have the latest and greatest features. However, for folks who are on the fence about one of these electric, luxury sedans, the offer might prove too enticing to pass up. Of course, Tesla has a history of announcing lease details only to change them later, so we’re not sure how long this deal will last or if it’ll get better in a month.

This might be why you can’t find a Nexus 6 in the Google Play Store right now
Google opened Nexus 6 preorders on Wednesday in the U.S., but the company soon sold out the available 32GB versions of the first Nexus phablet, and the 64GB version was still listed as “coming soon.” This isn’t the first time Google’s new Nexus handsets sold out soon after being made available in the Google Play Store, but Google might have a special reason for only taking a limited number of preorders in its online store, at least according to MobileSyrup.

Anonymous Apple employees dish dirt on what it’s like to work for Tim Cook
Despite the fact that all of its products now leak long before they are formally announced, Apple remains one of the most secretive technology companies in the world. Of course, it makes sense that the most valuable company in the United States would want to protect its secret sauce, so one can’t exactly blame Apple for closing itself off to the public, for the most part.
Then again, when a company is as secretive as Apple, it makes the private bits and pieces that do manage to trickle out far more tantalizing — and some juicy bits and pieces were shared recently when several anonymous Apple employees shared some details surrounding what it’s like to work for Apple CEO Tim Cook.
