We’ve seen a bunch of hugely promising new features that Microsoft has added to Windows 10 via its Technical Preview but this might be the most important one yet. Is the Surface slowly starting to pay off for Microsoft?
The first-generation Surface RT was a notorious bomb but Microsoft has diligently kept refining its Surface tablet models and has seen some impressive sales growth over the past year. According to Microsoft’s Q1 2015 earnings report that it released on Thursday, the company generated $908 million in Surface revenue, which is more than twice the $400 million in Surface revenue Microsoft reported in Q1 2014 and a sequential improvement from the $409 million in Surface revenue that the company posted in Q4 2014.

Google’s amazing Project Ara phone getting its own store for expansion modules
Google’s modular smartphone isn’t just an interesting concept anymore, as Google is very interested in offering such devices to users next year. Project Ara phones will let users build whatever smartphone they desire — provided they have access to the appropriate modules — and Google will create a special, Google Play Store-like storefront where modules developers will be able to sell their creations.

Samsung explains the Galaxy Note 4’s design in words you’ll never comprehend
Samsung isn’t shy about using rhetorical excess to describe its devices — recall that it once described the Galaxy S4 as “a precious stone glittering in the dark or countless stars sparkling in the night sky,” while it said the Galaxy S III “opens up new horizons and allows you to live your life extraordinarily” by being “enhanced with nature and human emotion.” You’ll be happy to know that Samsung hasn’t toned down its approach when it comes to marketing the Galaxy Note 4, as the company has just written an explanation for its new device’s design that explains why it’s the epitome of “modern sleek.”

The crucial iPhone 6 jailbreak app you need has just been updated to work on iOS 8.1
Soon after Apple released iOS 8.1, the first major update for iOS 8, the Pangu team of Chinese hackers that created untethered jailbreak tools for previous iOS versions released a jailbreak tool for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 devices, though it lacked Cydia support, which is the main reason users would want to jailbreak their devices in the first place. Luckily, as iDownload Blog reports, Cydia creator Saurik has pushed an update to it to make it compatible with jailbroken iOS 8 devices.

You can bring Google’s gorgeous new Material Design to your Android keyboard right now
It’s an exciting time to be an Android user, but the latest update isn’t available for your phone quite yet.
