AirPods Pro are down to Amazon’s lowest price – but they’re about to sell out
If you head over to Amazon right now, you’re going to find plenty of great deals on Apple’s various AirPods models. The regular AirPods 2 are on sale for $139 instead of $159, and you can upgrade to AirPods 2 with Wireless Charging Case for $159 instead of $199. If you already have first-generation AirPods or the second-generation model and you want to add wireless charging, Apple’s official AirPods wireless charging case is also $10 off on Amazon, which is a solid deal.
Apple AirPods with Charging Case (Latest Model): $139.00
Apple AirPods with Wireless Charging Case (Latest Model): $169.00
Apple Wireless Charging Case for AirPods: $69.00
On top of those deals, you can save even more if you’re willing to buy a renewed pair of AirPods. Until they sell out — which could be soon — you can pick up Apple AirPods 2 with Wireless Charging Case renewed for just $119. That’s a huge $80 discount, and it also happens to be the lowest price we’ve ever seen. These are guaranteed by Amazon, mind you, so if there’s anything wrong with them you can return them for a full refund within 90 days, no questions asked.
Apple AirPods 2 with Wireless Charging Case – White (Renewed): $119.71
Those deals are indeed all terrific, but there’s one more sale happening right now on Amazon that’s far more rare than all of those deals. We told our readers about it this past weekend and hundreds of you took advantage, but it looks like the deal is about to sell out so we want to give people another chance to get in on the action before this deal is done.
Apple’s AirPods Pro are by far the most sought-after Bluetooth earbuds on the planet right now. Of course, it’s very easy to see why. They take everything people love about AirPods and add two key features. First, they have silicone tips so they lock in all that great sound and the surprisingly deep bass that AirPods pump out. You wouldn’t know it with regular AirPods since they don’t isolate sound, but bass is full and clear on AirPods Pro. And second, they obviously also feature impressive noise cancelling tech, which is the main draw for many people.
Apple’s AirPods Pro retail for $249, and that’s how much you’ll pay at an Apple store or pretty much any retailer out there… except for Amazon. On Amazon, AirPods Pro are back down to their lowest price ever from Black Friday. The bad news is they’re currently out of stock, but the good news is Amazon is leaving orders open so you can lock in the discount before it disappears. As for how long your order will take to ship, everyone we’ve spoken with who has placed an order while AirPods Pro have been listed as out of stock on Amazon has received them within a week or two.

Apple’s massive iPhone 12 redesign looks incredible in this new video
If the world’s most accurate Apple insider is correct, 2020 is going to be a huge year for Apple’s iPhone lineup. The biggest news is that it will apparently be the first year ever that Apple releases a whopping five different iPhone models, including four devices that make up the iPhone 12 series and a fifth new handset expected to launch at the end of March as the iPhone SE 2, iPhone 9, or simply “iPhone.”
The insider in question is of course TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who regularly reveals secret details about Apple’s unreleased products. This year, Kuo says Apple’s first new iPhone will debut this month and will essentially be an upgraded iPhone 8 with better specs and a price tag that starts at just $399. Then in September, we can apparently expect not three, but four new iPhone 12 models. Apple released one iPhone 11 model and two iPhone 11 Pro models in 2019, but 2020 will apparently bring us two different iPhone 12 devices, one with a 5.4-inch display and one with a 6.1-inch screen, and then two iPhone 12 Pro models. The smaller iPhone 12 Pro will reportedly sport a 6.1-inch display instead of the 5.8-inch screen on the iPhone 11 Pro, and the larger iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch display.

The best-selling Alexa smart plugs on Amazon’s whole site have never been cheaper – just $5.99 each
Of all the different deals we cover each day here on the BGR Deals channel, there’s one type of deal that our readers always seem to love: deep discounts on Wi-Fi smart plugs. It sort makes sense, of course, since a smart plug is the type of gadget you can never really have enough of. There are so many dumb devices all over your house, and a smart plug is the easiest way to add connectivity to them, along with some “smart” features.
Here are some examples of how I use smart plugs. In the summer I have a fan that I use to circulate air in my bedroom because the central air isn’t quite enough for me. I turn it on when I go to sleep, but if I let it run all night then I and up waking up because I’m too cold. With a smart plug, I have it set to turn off at a certain time each night while I’m asleep.
I also have a smart plug connected to a space heater in my office so I can turn it on and off on the other side of the room without getting up. I use smart plugs during the holidays to control my Christmas lights, too. And here’s a really cool one: I have all of my outdoor LED landscape lighting plugged in through one smart plug. This way I can set smart timers based on what time the sun sets each day. On top of that, I have it connected to SmartThings so anytime my outside Arlo cameras detect motion at night, it turns on all of my outside lighting!
The possibilities are endless, and now is the perfect time to start playing around with some smart plugs yourself. Head over to Amazon and you’ll find that best-selling Teckin Mini Smart Plugs with more than 4,100 5-star ratings are on sale for just $5.99 each when you use the coupon code 7WIMIMTR on a 4-pack. They work with a smartphone app, Alexa, Google Assistant, and any smart home system thanks to IFTTT support.
Smart Plug Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant IFTTT for Voice Control, Teckin Mini Smart Ou…: $23.99 ($5.99 each) (use code 7WIMIMTR by 3/5)
Here are some notes from the Amazon page so you can learn a little more about these smart plugs:
- Connect the TECKIN Smart Wi-Fi Plug to Amazon Alexa for voice control. At the sound of your voice, you’ll be able to turn on appliances across the room as your hands are busy with Cooking, or shut the bedroom light off without getting up.
- With the remote access, You can check the real-time status of your device anytime, anywhere. Turn On/Off the connected devices wherever you are, thermostats, lamps, water heater, coffee makers, fans, switches, and other devices on before arriving home or after leaving.
- Can share the smart plug with your family by sharing the device. The TECKIN Smart Wi-Fi Plug made you and your family relationships even more intimate. The convenient minismart plug makes you happy every day.
- You can use the free app (Smart Life App) to create schedules / Timer / Countdown for connected electronics based on your time routines.
- Scheduling also helps lower your electricity bill by keeping power-hungry devices off when they are not needed.

This might be our first look at a real Pixel 5 prototype
The Pixel 5 rumor season started a few weeks ago, which is just crazy. The next Google flagship won’t hit stores until mid-October, but it already looks like it won’t stay secret for too long. We’ve already seen the first renders of a Pixel 5 prototype, and they delivered both good and bad news about Google’s plans for the next-gen Pixel series. And it didn’t take long for the first real-life photo of a purported Pixel 5 prototype to make its way online.

Samsung’s upcoming tablet might be going after Apple’s more affordable iPads
Launched nearly a decade ago, the iPad is still the best-sold tablet in town. Apple realized a few years ago that its iPads have to cater to different users, and came up with different iPad versions, from the iPad Mini to the iPad Pro to address those needs. Apple also kept in place the regular iPad, which became the most powerful budget tablet you can buy, and we’ve seen consistent deals for the 7th-gen iPad for quite a while. Apple’s rivals haven’t given up competing against the iPad, and while most tablets out there target budget consumers, some vendors keep making high-end devices that can go against the most formidable iPad Pro versions. Samsung is one of them, having released its latest iPad Pro alternative only a few months ago, the Galaxy Tab S6 in the image above. And Samsung might be getting ready to release a cheaper version of that tablet, which seems to target Apple’s cheapest iPads.

Apple’s iPhone supply chain won’t return to normal for a few more months
Just a day or so after Apple CEO Tim Cook seemed to hint in an interview on Friday that the iPhone maker might not be feeling the effects of the coronavirus much longer, fresh indications emerged over the weekend to suggest that the timeline for a return to normalcy may have just gotten extended.
Reuters on Saturday, for example, reported that iPhone camera module supplier LG Innotek has closed one of its factories in South Korea after a worker tested positive for the virus. The plant will reportedly remain closed on Monday, and while no timeline has been given for when it might reopen, this is also in line with news that the world’s top Apple insider included in an analyst report over the weekend which predicts that coronavirus will remain a drag on Apple’s iPhone supply chain until closer to summer.

Student astronomer finds 17 new planets, and one is about the size of Earth
Finding new planets lurking in space isn’t as hard as it used to be, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a challenge. High-tech instruments like NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope have provided researchers with a wealth of data that can be mined for new discoveries. University of British Columbia student Michelle Kunimoto did just that, and now has 17 brand new planets to her name.
Kunimoto, a Ph.D. candidate, is the lead author of a new paper published in The Astronomical Journal that describes the 17 new planets in rough detail. We don’t know much about them, but at least one of them is approximately Earth-sized, and is thought to be rocky, just like our own planet.

Everything new coming to Netflix this week, and everything leaving (week of March 1)
The beginning of the week and the beginning of the month just so happen to coincide in March, which means we’ve got a whole mess of content to look forward to this week. Up first are all of the licensed films and TV shows, such as Corpse Bride, Space Jam, The Shawshank Redemption, There Will Be Blood, and even the Series of Unfortunate Events movie, which is far inferior to the original series that Netflix produced.
As for originals, the Mark Wahlberg action-comedy Spenser Confidential might be the highlight of the week, but a lot of people really seem to love the Castlevania anime, and it’s back for its third season on Thursday as well. We’re also getting new seasons of Ugly Delicious, Paradise PD, and The Protector.

Amazon is fighting an unseen war against the coronavirus and ugly sellers
The coronavirus disease COVID-19 has evolved from a regional inconvenience to a worldwide threat in the span of only a couple of months. Lockdowns in China have spread to neighboring Japan, while new cases of the virus are seemingly popping up out of absolutely nowhere. It can be frightening, and we should certainly be preparing for the worst, but Amazon is fighting its own war against sellers trying to make a buck off the hysteria.
As Reuters reports, Amazon revealed last week that it has been forced to pull over one million products from its digital shelves over claims that they could either cure or help prevent coronavirus infection. Those unprovable claims were enough to get the sellers barred, but they’re not the only coronavirus vultures at work on Amazon.
