iPhone 6 owner wishes being bent was the only thing wrong with his device
We’ve been through the entire Bendgate fiasco and figured out that if you intentionally bend a thin phone you paid a lot of money for it will probably bend. But one iPhone 6 owner is claiming that his new phone didn’t just bend — it also caught fire.

BREAKING: Apple’s Q4 earnings are out… and they’re HUGE
Apple shares have dipped along with the rest of the market over the past few days, though things certainly picked up during Monday’s session ahead of Apple’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings report; shares closed at $99.76 on Monday, up 2.14%. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were on sale for just 12 days in the September quarter, but Wall Street is still expecting the launch to impact Apple’s results in a huge way. Of course, that notion obviously isn’t very far-fetched, considering Apple sold more than 10 million new iPhones just through the end of their first weekend on sale.

iOS 8.1 doesn’t seem to fix the huge issue that prevented you from updating to iOS 8
Apple on Monday released iOS 8.1, the first major update for iOS 8 that brought some new features to users (such as Apple Pay for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus) and also fixed several other issues. However, Apple has apparently failed to fix an important iOS 8 issue it has never acknowledged since launching its newest OS version on September 17th — and it’s particularly important because it may have prevented many users from upgrading from iOS 7.

Video shows how gigantic the Nexus 6 is, even compared with the massive Galaxy Note 4
The Nexus 6 is a really, really big device. And now Droid Life points us to a new video from Carphone Warehouse that gives us a close side-by-side comparison between the Nexus 6 and the Galaxy Note 4 and as you can see in the picture above, the Nexus 6 is huge even when pitted against Samsung’s famously big flagship phablet.

This year, Apple and Samsung will compete for the first time ever for phablet buyers’ attention. Apple launched its first 5.5-inch phablet on September 19th, while Samsung followed almost a month later with its fourth-generation big-screen Galaxy Note model. YouTube channel MacMixing (via 9to5Mac) took a closer look at both the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4 by highlighting their main features in an extended video.

The streaming price wars are coming – and they’re a music fan’s dream come true
There really has never been a better time to be a music fan — particularly if you’re a music fan who loves exploring vast catalogs of music that you won’t find on any top 40 radio stations. Pandora and Spotify have proven to be the two most popular music streaming services so far but there are plenty of competitors that are lining up to take the crown, led by Apple and its newly acquired Spotify rival Beats Music. All this added competition can only mean one thing: Streaming price wars are coming.
