‘It’s been way too long’: Apple’s major iPad event officially set for October 16th
The rumors were true: Apple juts sent out invitations for its next media event which will take place on Thursday, October 16th at its Infinite Loop Campus in Cupertino, California. The event will begin at 1 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT and is expected to feature the new iPad Air 2 and a new line of Mac computers.

iOS 8.1 will finally bring some of the iOS 8 features you’ve been waiting for
Apple already released the second beta version of iOS 8.1, its first major update for iOS 8 that’s expected to bring various important features advertised for iOS 8, but which were not part of Apple’s initial software release. Ars Technica has listed the main features coming in iOS 8.1, which is expected to be made available to users later this month, likely following Apple’s iPad and Mac event.

Apple fan who mocked ‘Bendgate’ finds that his iPhone 6 Plus bent during regular use
There’s a real question about whether or not bent iPhone 6 Plus models are actually a common occurrence but there’s no doubt that some models do seem to be bending for users under regular use. Over on Reddit, one iPhone 6 Plus owner has posted pictures of his iPhone 6 Plus (see above), which he says bent even though he “babied” it and placed it in a sturdy leather case.

Wireless data caps are a massive crock, and carriers know it
Pretty much everyone hates wireless data caps, particularly the ones that get you slapped with huge overage fees for going over them. This month’s most exciting Android announcements may come as soon as next week
