Being an Apple employee has its benefits, but apparently not quite enough. Apple’s head of HR, Denise Young Smith, announced on Thursday that Apple would be expanding its benefits program rather substantially. Here’s one way that iOS 8 is a major headache for app developers

6 easy ways to avoid expensive car repairs
Filed under:
Is your car making rumbling noises or mysteriously vibrating? Leaking essential fluids? Sending smoke signals? Are warning lights suddenly coming on? Well, they’re all signs that you could be headed for some expensive car repair trouble, and if you’re like most drivers, you could use some help self-diagnosing the source of such problems before they lead to breakdowns and expensive repairs.
First of all, get to know your car’s personality – how it sounds and smells and moves – so that you’ll know when something out of the ordinary occurs. If your vehicle was made after 1995, consider investing in an on-board diagnostics (OBD) reader. They can be had for around $200.00 at Canadian Tire or similar. That doesn’t seem like too much when compared to a dealership charging you the same amount to even read one code. An OBD detects faults in the operation of all engine sensors and systems via the car’s on-board computer, including catalytic converters. It provides a trouble code that will give you a clue to the nature of a problem.
