After an “unofficial” blend test for the iPhone 6 Plus that hit YouTube a few days ago, the official gadget blenders have finally performed their own such silly test, but with a twist, posting the resulting video also on YouTube. Blendtec took an iPhone 6 Plus and a 2013 Galaxy Note 3 to simultaneously test them in its regular blend test.

BlackBerry CEO: Unlike the iPhone 6 Plus, you can’t bend the Passport
Shots have just been fired. During his big media presentation on Wednesday, BlackBerry CEO John Chen made reference to videos that showed how easy it can be to bend the iPhone 6 Plus and pledged that you will not be able to bend the new BlackBerry Passport no matter how hard you try.

Hilarious jailbreak tweak makes your iPhone scream when it gets dropped
As if you don’t already have enough of an incentive to not drop your shiny new iPhone, a new jailbreak tweak will give you one more reason by programming your iPhone to emit a blood-curdling scream whenever it gets dropped. Via 9to5Mac, the new tweak uses your iPhone’s accelerometer to determine when the device is falling from a certain height and then lets out a scream to alert you to the fact that it’s in freefall.

Hacking the iPhone 6’s Touch ID is harder, but still possible
Soon after Apple unveiled the iPhone 5s last year, the first of its iPhones to sport a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button, researchers proved the security measure could be bypassed as long as an attacker managed to somehow replicate the fingerprints of an iPhone 5s owner. Marc Rogers, one of the same people who hacked Touch ID last year, is now back with a similar trick that works on both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, even though both devices sport better fingerprint scanners than the iPhone 5s.

Samsung has one reason to be ecstatic about record iPhone 6 sales

You won’t be buying an Apple CarPlay vehicle this year after all
It seems that amid all the excitement surrounding the iPhone 6 launch, Apple has quietly delayed one of its most intriguing new proposals. 9to5Mac noticed on Tuesday that Apple had updated its CarPlay landing page to note that the CBS News application will be compatible with the software, but the company also removed any mention of the year 2014 from the lineup of vehicle manufacturers that have partnered with Apple.

OUCH: Samsung Securities says Samsung phones have ‘lost appeal’

Bloomberg Businessweek reports that analysts have once again slashed their profit estimates for Samsung in the latest quarter, which sadly hasn’t been unusual to see this year.
