Tim Cook was apparently not kidding when he told The Wall Street Journal that the iPhone 6 models will trigger the “mother of all upgrades,” as one MacRumors forum poster just revealed. Forum member Kalsta upgraded from the iPhone 3G all the way up to iPhone 6, in what can only be described as a massive upgrade for an iPhone owner using ancient software and hardware, at least by today’s smartphone standards.

AT&T celebrates the iPhone 6 launch by raising fees on some upgraders
You’re not the only one excited by the launch of the iPhone 6 — it seems that AT&T is rubbing its hands with glee since the iPhone 6 looks set to make more money for the company in the form of higher smartphone access fees. Cult of Mac reports that some customers who are signing two-year contracts to upgrade to the iPhone 6 on AT&T are getting notices telling them that their monthly smartphone access charges are being raised from between $15 and $25 all the way up to $40.
