Filed under:
Mosport DDT was once again packed with plenty of awesome cars this past Sunday as Round 4 of the Canadian Sport Compact Series (CSCS) took place. The weather was hot with no clouds in sight, and for once it felt like summer, seeing as we’ve been getting shafted with the weather in Ontario lately. Seeing as the weather was co-operating, we wasted no time in heading out to the infields to start shooting… READ MORE

Orange Julep in Montreal is one of the hottest car hangouts in Canada
Filed under:
Legend has it that since the ’60s, the Orange Julep in Montreal has been one of the hottest auto enthusiast hangouts in Canada. From classic muscle cars and hot rods to today’s high end luxury and Japanese tuner cars, the local “Big Orange” landmark/eyesore on Decarie Boulevard has a strong history of car culture, hosting weekly events that draw hundreds of car every summer like this Euro vs. JDM event.
Having personally been there many times over the years, the Orange Julep continues to reign not only as the best place in town to check out custom cars, but as a top fast food joint in Montreal, serving hot dogs, burgers and of course its famously foamy, neon orange liquid known as the Orange Julep that inspired original founder (Hermas Gibeau) to set up shop in 1932.
Enough with the short history lesson, click here to take a look at the full photo gallery from the latest Orange Julep event, as Japanese imports and European performance cars gathered for a Euro vs. JDM car show in the iconic parking lot of this Montreal hotspot.

Why the iWatch is riskier for Apple than you think
So we’re now pretty certain that Apple will release its iWatch… well, sometime before the end of the year. In the buildup to its release, many analysts have been predicting some absurdly high sales numbers in the iWatch’s first year — remember Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty’s bold projection that Apple could sell as many as 60 million (!) iWatches in its first 12 months on the market. It goes without saying that there are good reasons to be skeptical of such sales projections, especially when you consider that the iWatch actually looks like a pretty risky endeavor from Apple’s perspective.

Clever new Gmail trick will keep you safe from phishing attacks and spammers
Google on Tuesday announced a new interesting update for its email service, which will hopefully help thwart scammers’ phishing email plans in the future and stop some spamming campaigns. Gmail will henceforward reject suspicious combinations of Unicode characters that could be misleading for regular users and fool them into clicking on links to sites they think they know, only to end up on a malicious page.
