We’re due to get one more “blood moon” occurrence later this year but last night we were treated to a lunar phenomenon that doesn’t look quite so apocalyptic. The so-called “supermoon,” which occurs when the moon comes closest to the Earth during its regular orbit, lit up night skies around the world on Sunday evening and the BBC has collected a series of pictures from across the globe that show off just how amazing this astronomical phenomena looked.

The name of Samsung’s craziest smartphone ever may have just been revealed
In addition to the standard Galaxy Note 4 model that it’s expected to unveil next month, Samsung may also unveil a special version of the Note 4 that will supposedly feature a wraparound display that we’ve read about in leaks and patent applications. And instead of Galaxy Note 4, Samsung may end up calling it something entirely different: The Galaxy Note Edge, a trademark Samsung has just applied for.

Windows Phone takes another small stumble forward
Microsoft quietly announced that it now has over 300,000 apps in its Windows Phone Store, with hundreds more added every day. While that certainly seems like a lot, and might make switching to a Windows Phone a bit easier, it has a long way to go to catch up to Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
