iPhone 12 leak reveals a next-gen feature that’s never been in a smartphone before
We still have six months to go before Apple releases its new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup. That’s a long time to wait, but there’s already more hype surrounding Apple’s next-generation flagship iPhone models than any other smartphone in 2020. Enough information has leaked at this point from trusted Apple insiders that people are starting to get quite excited about Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 12 series. Of course, another new iPhone will debut long before the iPhone 12 — the new iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 Apple is expected to launch next month — but it hasn’t generated quite as much buzz as the iPhone 12. With upgraded specs including an A13 processor and a price tag that’s expected to start at $399, the iPhone SE 2 will likely be one of the best-selling smartphones of 2020. It’ll also bring back Touch ID, which is something many Apple fans have been clamoring for. But it’s not a flagship model like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, so there isn’t nearly as much chatter online.
Most of the buzz surrounding the upcoming new iPhone 12 lineup focuses on Apple’s new design, and that’s certainly understandable. iPhone 11 sales are still soaring, but Apple’s current iPhone design is the same one we saw on last year’s iPhone XS and iPhone XR, which is the same design we saw on 2017’s iPhone X. Needless to say, avid Apple fans who upgrade to a new iPhone each year are eager for a redesign. That’s exactly what they’ll get when the iPhone 12 series is unveiled this coming September, but the new iPhone models will feature plenty of big upgrades beyond just the new design.

Get a new Nest smart thermostat at the lowest price of 2020
Companies these days take any product out there, add Wi-Fi connectivity or Bluetooth to it, and call it “smart.” In some cases, those products truly are smart — like these mini Wi-Fi smart plugs that work with app control, Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT for just $5.55 a piece. Having the ability to control the dumb devices around your home in all those different ways is definitely smart. But the majority of “smart” products out there really aren’t that smart at all.
Another example of a smart device that actually earns that descriptor is a smart thermostat from Nest. And right now, both of Nest’s beloved smart thermostats are on sale at the lowest prices of 2020.
Starting with the more affordable model, the Nest Thermostat E is probably the single best smart thermostat model out there. It packs all the same features as the pricier smart thermostat from Nest, but it doesn’t have a stainless steel case or an OLED display. Those are both nifty features, but they’re also purely aesthetic. The Nest Thermostat E still has a beautiful design with a frosted glass display, and it pays for itself in a matter of months thanks to all the money you’ll save on your energy bills.
Nest AMZE2NESTHERMOSTE Thermostat, White: $148.95
Just look at all the great 5-star reviews on Amazon. “I installed myself in about 15 minutes and I am not a handyman. The app is easy to use and set schedules. I saved over $30 on our utility bill the first month we had it,” one reviewer said. “This is the third one that I have owned. I would not live without it. They are absolutely great, fast service if you need to talk to a trouble technician oh, they do what they are supposed to do,” boasted another. Everyone loves this awesome model, and it’s on sale right now at its lowest price in months on Amazon.
Of course, the Nest Learning Thermostat is a bit more expensive than the entry-level Nest model, but it still pays for itself in savings. It might just take a little longer to pay for itself, is all. If you pick one up now on Amazon, however, it’ll take much less time than it normally does because it’s currently discounted in all four available colors. And lucky for you, the most popular color option — silver stainless steel — is also the one with the biggest discount!
Google, T3007ES, Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Gen, Smart Thermostat, Stainless Steel, Works Wi…: $212.00
You really can’t go wrong with either model. You’ll save money which is great for your wallet, and you’ll conserve energy which is great for the environment. Plus, on top of all the smart scheduling features, you can also use the Nest app on your phone to control your smart thermostats or even control them with Alexa voice commands.

Huge iOS 14 video leak shows totally redesigned iPhone multitasking
Most years around this time, Apple chatter is focused solely on two things: the new version of iOS set to be unveiled at WWDC in June, and the new iPhone models that will debut a few months later in September. In 2020, however, things are a bit different. For the first time since 2016, Apple is expected to announce its first new iPhone model of the year in March rather than September, as it normally does. That’s right, Apple fans are finally about to get the followup to the iPhone SE that they’ve been craving for so long. We’re still not sure if it’ll be called the iPhone SE 2, iPhone 9, or something entirely different. In fact, the latest rumor suggests it’ll surprise us all and just be called “iPhone,” which would be quite interesting. Whatever Apple ends up calling it, all that matters is it’ll be a new iPhone with modern specs, Touch ID, and pricing that’s expected to start at just $399.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone at a press conference in late March ahead of a release date in early April. Once that happens, the focus will shift back to Apple’s next big event: WWDC 2020. As it turns out, however, we don’t have to wait until June to get our first taste of the new iOS 14 operating system Apple is currently cooking up behind closed doors. A huge leak has seemingly just given us our first look at iOS 14 running on an iPhone, and it shows a massive change that Apple fans will definitely be excited about.

Fire TV Stick drops to $25 in a surprise Amazon sale – or upgrade to 4K for $35
Great deals on best-selling Amazon devices come and go all the time. In fact, you can visit this page on Amazon’s site right now and you’ll find more than 30 different deep discounts like up to $50 off Ring Video Doorbells plus a free Echo Dot, popular Fire tablets starting at $55, and 20% off a new Kindle when you trade in an old one.
Those deals are all terrific and there are plenty more where they came from. That said, there’s one type of Amazon device that goes on sale far less frequently, and it just so happens to be Amazon’s most popular type of device right now. That’s right, we’re talking about Amazon’s Fire TV device lineup, and a surprise sale just kicked off that slashes Fire TV devices to their lowest prices of 2020.
There are two deals in particular that you won’t want to miss, and they just so happen to be on the two best-selling Fire TV devices of all time. First, we have the #1 best-selling Fire TV Stick that normally costs $40. It’s already one of the best values in streaming at that price, but today you can get one for just $24.99! The Fire TV Stick has a terrific user interface with access to all the top streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, and of course Amazon Prime Video.
Fire TV Stick streaming media player with Alexa built in, includes Alexa Voice Remote, HD, easy…: $24.99
The Fire TV Stick is great, and it gives you access to all the streaming content you could possibly want, just like we said. But there are two things it doesn’t give you: 4K resolution and HDR support. If you want those, you’ll want to upgrade to the Fire TV Stick 4K model. It normally sells for $50, but right now it’s only $34.99. That’s $5 less than Amazon usually charges for the entry-level Fire TV Stick so you know it’s a great deal, and it’s also the lowest price of 2020.
Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device with Alexa built in, Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, includes the Ale…: $34.99
If you’re adding your Fire TV device to a room that could also benefit from gaining access to Alexa, you’ll be happy to know that there’s another popular Amazon device on sale today. The Fire TV Cube is basically a more powerful Fire TV Stick 4K and an Echo Dot with hands-free Alexa voice command support stuffed into one cool-looking little box. It normally sells for $120, but today it’s down to a 2020-low at $89.99.
All-new Fire TV Cube, hands-free with Alexa built in, 4K Ultra HD, streaming media player, rele…: $89.99
Last but certainly not least, Amazon is offering a fantastic deal for people who don’t want to just add streaming to a room, but also want to add a TV or upgrade an older model. The Insignia NS-50DF710NA19 50-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED Fire Edition TV with HDR is one of the best-selling models on Amazon and it’s also one of the highest-rated, with more than 6,800 5-star ratings. It features a gorgeous display, 4K resolution, HDR support, and Amazon’s Fire TV software built right in. The $350 retail price is already more than fair, but today you can get this awesome TV on sale for only $269.99.
Insignia NS-50DF710NA19 50-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV HDR – Fire TV Edition: $269.99

PS5 leak hints at exciting new features the Xbox Series X won’t get
With February nearly gone, Sony is yet to reveal any plans for a PlayStation Meeting 2020 event. That’s the type of keynote we expect for the official PlayStation 5 announcement, although we might have to wait a while to get it. Sony just pulled out of two gaming events over coronavirus fears after ditching MWC 2020 well before the entire congress was itself canceled. It seems unlikely that Sony will promote any sort of gatherings as long as the coronavirus epidemic is contained. But, with each day that goes without a PS5 announcement, we get more exciting rumors about the next-gen console, as well as discoveries that tease the kind of unique features the new Sony console might get. The latest PlayStation-related discoveries show new controller features that the Xbox Series X might not get.

Sony just unveiled the Xperia 1 II to take on Samsung’s Galaxy S20
Like clockwork, Sony unveiled its newest flagship smartphone early on a Monday in late February, but unlike previous years, the new Xperia phone was unveiled via an online-only event rather than the usual MWC keynote. Then again, this isn’t a regular year, with the coronavirus threat being the reason why the Mobile World Congress was canceled. Smartphone vendors like Sony, however, still plan to unveil brand new hardware, and Sony Xperia 1 Mark II (Xperia 1 II) is the first such example. Yes, the name Sony chose for its Galaxy S20 rival is super annoying, although it’s not like Sony had a better choice. How do you call the device that succeeds the Xperia 1? Xperia 2 is out of the question, so a variation of Xperia 1 is inevitable. Sony also unveiled the Xperia 10 II mid-range handset at the same event, a device bearing the same naming structure.

Apple tried to ban an insider’s book about the company – now it’s a bestseller
If Apple was hopeful that it could succeed in shutting down the publication of a new book entitled App Store Confidential by former executive Tom Sadowski — who until the end of last year led the iPhone maker’s App Store for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland — the company’s efforts certainly haven’t worked so far. Indeed, they may have backfired.
After the German-language book (which is available right now on Amazon) was published a few days ago, Apple sent a cease-and-desist letter to the book’s German publishing company demanding a halt to publication, a recall of the manuscripts, and that those manuscripts be destroyed. Apple’s contention is that Sadowski has disclosed important trade secrets. Unfortunately for the company, though, the attention that its efforts brought to the book seems to have helped to juice its sales.
