Review: The Wolf Among Us – Season 1
When Telltale Games was presented with the monumental task of following up The Walking Dead, the writers took it in stride. Rather than breaking too far from the formula, Telltale innovated just enough with The Wolf Among Us to bring us something that feels both familiar and entirely fresh. Having finished the first season, I can say with some confidence that I won’t be missing any future installments.

Apple completely changed Control Center in iOS 8 beta 4 – here’s what it looks like (spoiler: HIDEOUS)
Apple on Monday released iOS 8 beta 4, just as our sources said would be the case. The new build is Apple’s fourth developer preview release of its new iOS 8 software, which will be let loose to the general public sometime in the coming months, likely just before the next-generation iPhone 6 launches. In the meantime, developers can use Apple’s iOS 8 betas to update their apps and build new ones that take advantage of all the new APIs Apple has provided. For the rest of us, iOS 8 gives us a look at all the great new things to come.
Unfortunately, not all of those things are actually great.

Verizon FiOS customers just got a massive upgrade for free
You know that 15Mbps, 30Mbps or 50Mbps Internet service you pay your cable TV provider way too much for each month? That lightning fast figure likely only refers to your peak download speeds, and your upload speeds are probably much slower. For example, the 30Mbps Internet service I pay Time Warner Cable more than $60 for each month only provides upload speeds of up to 5Mbps. This is likely fine for some users, but many people need faster upload speeds to avoid getting bogged down. Now, thanks to a huge free upgrade Verizon is currently rolling out, FiOS customers are about to get a pleasant surprise.

Don’t expect any updates to fix Android L troubles
If you happen to run Android L, or a port based on it, on your device and you’re wondering whether Google will release an update to fix any of the potential issues discovered with the Developer Preview ROM, you should know there’s a slim chance that will happen. Magnum Releases New Gaskets for Popular Class 3 to Class 8 Diesel Truck Engines
Magnum Gaskets (an MSI brand) has expanded its product offering beyond applications for traditional passenger cars and light-duty trucks, making inroads into the pickup truck diesel, heavy-duty diesel and high-performance vehicle segments.
“MSI is one of the few companies in the world with the huge molding presses required to successfully manufacture the large format, complex gaskets found on today’s diesel engines,” said Alex Grunfeld, president at MSI.
Magnum has released more than 100 new, individually boxed medium- and heavy-duty gaskets and seals for popular Class 3 to Class 8 diesel truck engines, covering Navistar DT466, Caterpillar C7-C15, Detroit Diesel Series 60 and a range of Cummins engines. Magnum’s aftermarket e-Catalog features manifold, valve cover and oil pan gasket sets for pickup truck diesel applications, including GM Duramax V8, Ford Powerstroke V8 and Dodge/Ram/Cummins B Series.
“In high-performance, our gasket engineers have many years of personal experience in street and race engine build-ups,” added Derek Data, vice president at MSI.
One of the new problem-solving products from Magnum Performance is a one-piece molded oil pan gasket (OS84003) for big block Chevy’s that has the side rails trimmed for stroker clearance.
According to MSI, MOPAR fans will appreciate two new 440 molded oil pan gaskets with integral molded plastic windage trays, offered in either a standard depth sump version (OS84011) or with a deep sump (OS84012) for stroker motors. Another Magnum innovation for Chrysler 440s is SP93120 rear main bearing side seals featuring molded silicone rubber on a rigid plastic core for easy installation.

Security researcher: iOS security has been intentionally compromised by Apple
Apple’s placing a lot of emphasis on iOS security (especially when compared with that “toxic hellstew” Android) and on privacy (again, compared to its rival) but it turns out that iOS might not be as secure or private as Apple has led customers to believe. Security researcher Jonathan Zdziarski has a new paper out called “Identifying Backdoors, Attack Points, and Surveillance Mechanisms in iOS Devices,” in which he reveals Apple’s complex tools inside iOS that would allow Apple to share certain user data at the request of law enforcement without the user knowledge.
More importantly, with or without Apple’s help, spying agencies such as NSA and other third parties that are very familiar with how iOS operates can apparently use these vulnerabilities to grab plenty of data from an iPhone, or to install applications for spying and other malicious purposes without the user’s knowledge.
