Scary video shows two planes coming frighteningly close to colliding on a runway
In what could have been one of the most terrifying disasters of the decade, a UTair Boeing 767 had to abort its landing when an errant Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus suddenly taxied onto the runway during the plane’s descent. With seconds to spare, the pilot of the 767 pulled back up, narrowly avoiding the other plane and potentially saving hundreds of lives.

For the fourth consecutive year, the city of Hudson, Quebec (a small English-speaking community west of Montreal, QC), invited classic car owners to takeover their streets and show off their vintage vehicles for a day. The rare line-up of vehicles at the 2014 Hudson classic car show was a dream come true for many car connoisseurs and gearheads of all ages.
With over 100 cars on display, the main street and some arteries were lined with classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles of different eras. This exhibition is a rare opportunity to discover the wonders and charm of this small town itself, while traveling through time thanks to the many cars parked along its streets. Although there were many modern cars too, the classic treasures that appeared stole the show.

The clearest and simplest explanation yet for why Internet ‘fast lanes’ are a terrible idea
We’ve heard a lot of good reasons to oppose the Federal Communications Commission’s plan to allow for the creation of Internet “fast lanes.” However, the best one we’ve seen so far might be from Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler, who has written an op-ed for The Washington Post in which he explains why any plan that lets ISPs charge more in exchange for traffic prioritization should be a nonstarter.
