This is the most important iPhone 6 leak yet
Without question, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 launches are the most hotly anticipated smartphone launches of the year. According to reports from numerous solid sources, Apple plans to launch not one but two completely redesigned iPhone models in 2014. One new iPhone 6 is said to feature a 4.7-inch display alongside a new design and upgraded internals, and the second new iPhone model is said to be a phablet with a 5.5-inch screen.
The look and feel of these two new phones will seemingly be quite similar despite the size difference, according to various leaks. Unfortunately, we have also seen several leaked mockups that suggest the two new iPhone models will have something else in common: A design element on the back of the phones that completely ruins their look.

THANK YOU, GOOGLE! Google won’t let Samsung bring TouchWiz to Android Wear
Great news for people who love the “stock Android” experience: Google isn’t letting Samsung or any other third-party OEMs muss it up on Android Wear, Android Auto or Android TV. In an interview with Ars Technica, Google engineering director David Burke said that OEMs won’t be able to alter these new Android platforms in the same way that they can alter Android on smartphones and tablets with overlays such as Samsung’s TouchWiz or HTC’s Sense.

New report explains why Microsoft ditched plans to launch the Surface Mini
Microsoft’s line of Surface brand tablets have easily been among the most sleek and well-made Windows devices the world has ever seen. What they haven’t been, however, is a hit with consumers or enterprise users. Microsoft continues to improve its Surface lineup each year, having most recently launched the new 12-inch Surface Pro 3 tablet that features what quite possibly the most impressive laptop/tablet hybrid design we have ever seen. The devices are still a tough and expensive sell in a market driven by price, however, and they don’t offer much in the way of truly useful differentiation.
Apparently, Microsoft’s much-rumored Surface Mini tablet didn’t offer much differentiation either, and a new report claims Microsoft cancelled plans to build the smaller tablet at the last minute.

Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars
Filed under:
Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company’s archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company’s own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, “once in a while” has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There’s a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 (CAD$214,000) apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you’ll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k (CAD$134k) and Focus concept for $50k (CAD$54k). And of course there are the Mustangs.
The collection on offer includes three Super Snake concepts from 2010/11, a 2007 Shelby GT prototype, a 2011 GTS concept, a quartet of GT350 prototypes from 2012/13 and a 2012 Shelby GTS Wide Body prototype – prices for which range from $99,000 to $200k (CAD$106,000 to CAD$214,000). Scope out the entire catalog in the gallery above.
