A new report from Marble Security reveals that while Android has significant security issues due to malware-ridden third-party application stores and the ecosystem’s software fragmentation, iOS isn’t that much safer for use in an enterprise environment.

We’re not even going to suggest that you pretend to act surprised, but Amazon on Wednesday finally took the wraps off of one of the worst kept secrets in the industry: the ___. The phone has been in development for years and rumors have been bouncing around since 2012. Then, BGR blew the lid off the handset beginning in April, when we gave the world its first look at the device and reported several key specs.
BGR then exclusively shared a number of key details surrounding the phone’s custom software, shortly before reporting that “Prime Data” would be one of the smartphone’s key selling points. Finally, we gave the world an unobstructed look at the handset for the first time last month.

Did Samsung just copy Google Now?
Samsung has released a Google Now-like Android launcher called Terrain Home, Phone Arena reports. Well, technically it’s not Samsung doing the releasing, as the app is developed by “Samsung’s Accelerator start-up incubator,” as the publication says, but it’s still backed by Samsung.

Gold version of Samsung’s most gorgeous phone yet revealed in new leak
We’ve already seen some leaked pictures of Samsung’s upcoming “premium” smartphone but we don’t think any of them have quite looked this good. @evleaks has posted a new leaked press render of the upcoming Galaxy F that’s slated to release later this year, and this new picture shows the device in gold. While this is our first look at the Galaxy F in gold, we’re not at all surprised Samsung is releasing a gold version of the device since it’s also released gold versions of both the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S5.

The most useless viral iPhone app ever was made in just 8 hours
Yo is a very silly iPhone app that does one thing – well, not including Easter Eggs – and that’s to send a simple, short “Yo” message to friends. While that sounds very silly, apparently plenty of users downloaded the app and are sending Yos every which way. To date, more than 4 million Yos have been sent by the over 50,000 users that downloaded the app. However, even though it has been released on April 1, the app is not a joke, and the developer behind it convinced an investor to give him $1 million for the app, Think Progress reports.

AT&T CEO says Sprint/T-Mobile merger isn’t happening
When AT&T tried to acquire T-Mobile back in 2011, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said that there was no way AT&T should be allowed by regulators to acquire T-Mobile — only Sprint should be allowed to acquire T-Mobile. It took three years, but Sprint will soon see how regulators feel about its plans to merge with T-Mobile. Hesse was incredibly vocal in opposing AT&T’s attempted T-Mobile takeover. While it looks like AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson won’t fight the Sprint/T-Mobile deal quite as vigorously, he did have some thoughts to share on the matter.

Ferrari crashes during Exotic Car Tour near Toronto
Filed under:
Signing up for an exotic car tour or track event is an affordable way to make the dream of driving a supercar come true for a day. Here at Autoblog Canada, we’ve been lucky enough to attend a trackday hosted by Exotic Car Tours and loved getting seat time behind the wheel of several different six-figure supercars including the Ferrari shown above.
However, as the saying goes “with great power comes great responsibility” and this Ferrari driving rookie found that out the hard way by crashing hard into a guard rail while out on a sunny Sunday cruise just outside of Toronto. The entire spin out and crash was caught on video by a passenger in a trailing Audi R8 driving behind the now damaged Ferrari as part of the exotic car tour experience. Although the true cause of this expensive crash is unknown (was it the driver, the car/tires or a bit of both), let us know what you think on our Facebook page.
Click here to watch the Ferrari crash video for yourself.

Microsoft busted trying to pay bloggers to write nice things about Internet Explorer
Microsoft has been making a lot of smart moves lately, but this is a blunder that brings back grim memories of the Clippy era. TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington has posted an email that he received from a Microsoft PR person asking if he’d want to take part in a new “sponsored post opportunity” regarding Internet Explorer. What it boils down to is that Microsoft told Arrington that they’d pay him to write nice things about their web browser.
