Samsung’s #Galaxy11 soccer-focused ad campaign had some great clips so far featuring well-known soccer players from various countries who must join forces and put aside differences and rivalries to defeat an alien race in a critical soccer match for the planet. The company on Monday published more Galaxy 11 clips on YouTube, with one of them showing the first half of the match against aliens – but an unpleasant surprise awaits.

Futuristic new tech will make smartphone batteries even thinner and longer lasting
Smartphones and tablets are going to get even better batteries in the future, and one company apparently has a different take on batteries rather than sticking with lithium-ion technology. Paper Battery has its own ultracapacitor batteries, which look promising enough to have earned the company $3 million in funding from Caerus Ventures to further develop its patented technology.

Fable, like Halo, is one of the many iconic series that have defined the Xbox for years. Samsung will reportedly launch a crazy foldable tablet next year
Samsung’s first commercial attempt at releasing a phone with a flexible display, the Galaxy Round, didn’t exactly light the world on fire. However, Android Authority draws our attention to a new report from Korean publication Duam that suggests Samsung is working on something much more promising for next year. Apparently Samsung is planning to release its first-ever foldable tablet in 2015, which would be the first commercial release of a technology that Samsung has been toying around with for a while now.

Meet the gadget that could take TV gesture controls to the next level
Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook said Apple was going to enter new product categories in 2014. No one knows exactly what these categories will be, but the two most widely rumored ones are wearables and TV. Microsoft has been pitching its Surface Pro 3 as “the first tablet that can replace your laptop” and early reviews of the device have generally been very positive about how well the device works both as a laptop and a tablet. However, Business Insider’s review of the Surface Pro 3 makes clear that Microsoft still has some work to do with the device’s kickstand setup to truly make it as comfortable to hold in your lap as a MacBook Air or an Windows ultrabook.

Microsoft is working on building a smartphone with week-long battery life
It’s the smartphone holy grail: a handset that can last for more than a day or two on a charge. As the technology surrounding processors, displays and other smartphone components continues to progress at a breakneck pace, battery technology drags along and holds everything else back. In fact, smartphones would have progressed much further by now if powering them wasn’t so difficult with modern battery tech.
According to a research team at Microsoft, however, battery technology isn’t entirely at fault here. Instead, smartphone makers can and should create hardware and software that manages power better, and Microsoft is aiming to build a phone with week-long battery life using its discoveries.

Ubisoft is on a roll. Between Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and now Watch Dogs, Ubisoft has a stable of some of the most popular franchises on the market, and the company didn’t disappoint with another huge showing at E3 this year. There weren’t many surprises, but unlike some of the other conferences, many of the games Ubisoft presented will actually be on store shelves at some point this year.
