You’ll forget all about the Galaxy S20 Ultra when you see these new Note 20 Ultra renders
Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S20 flagship smartphone lineup a week ago today, which included what is undoubtedly the new crown jewel of Samsung’s entire smartphone portfolio, the Galaxy S20 Ultra. All of Samsung’s new S20 phones are sleek and powerful, but the Ultra model is clearly a cut above the rest. Where specs are concerned, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is unrivaled, featuring a giant 6.9-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch camera, up to 512GB of storage, up to 16GB of RAM, and a quad-lens rear camera with 100x hybrid “Space Zoom” that’s unlike anything we’ve seen before on a smartphone.
The rest of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 lineup is sleek and powerful as well, but people are focused specifically on the Ultra model for a few different reasons. First, as we explained above, it’s an absolute beast of a smartphone. But the second reason is the fact that all of Samsung’s new S20 phones are surprisingly expensive. The base model Galaxy S20 will start at $1,000 in the United States when it’s released on March 6th. That’s insane. Samsung copied Apple’s new iPhone strategy last year by adding a lower-cost phone to its Galaxy S10 flagship lineup, and the Galaxy S10e ended up being Samsung’s top-selling S10 phone. This year, however, Samsung completely abandoned the new “entry-level flagship” segment and introduced three new smartphones in the ultra-premium price range. So, if you’re going to spend $1,000 on a smartphone, you might as well spend another few hundred and get the top-of-the-line Galaxy S20 Ultra. But before you do that, you might want to take a look at new renders that might just give us a taste of things to come.

Sony might’ve accidentally revealed its PS5 launch timing
The PlayStation 5 is one of the hottest new products of the year, and one you’ll have to wait at least about eight months to actually buy. It’s also a product that hasn’t yet been given a proper introduction. Sony revealed some details about the PS5’s core hardware, focusing on the massive performance improvements that will enable totally new gaming experiences. But the Japanese giant that sold almost 110 million PS4 units since its release isn’t ready to commit to any PS5 specifics. We have no idea when the console will be unveiled, when it’ll go up for preorder, or how much it’ll cost. But it turns out that Sony hinted at what its PS5 launch timeline might look like and we nearly missed it.

A new streaming service just launched to take on Netflix, and it lets you watch live TV for free
As easy as it is to cut the cord these days, you’d think that traditional pay TV companies would do everything in their power to lower the prices of their various cable and satellite TV packages. Instead, they continue to raise their package prices while increasing their despicable and unnecessary fees, seemingly in an effort to milk their remaining subscribers for as much money as possible before they too abandon ship. It doesn’t seem like a strategy aimed at longterm success, as evidenced by the fact that pay TV subscriber losses keep accelerating. But hey, if cable companies want to speed toward their own demise, we’re not going to stop them.
Whether you’ve already cut the cord or you’ve been toying with the idea more and more lately, you should know that in 2020, it couldn’t be easier to find great streaming content to replace pay TV. Everyone’s first stop should obviously be Netflix, which is something that many people subscribe to even if they still pay for cable or satellite TV. Netflix’s lead in the streaming content market is tremendous and its service is generally the foundation of any cord cutter’s arsenal. There’s so much great content in Netflix’s ever-expanding catalog that it can be difficult to even know where to start, which is why we constantly take the time to round up the best new movies and shows on Netflix. Everyone knows Netflix is the best in the business though, so the real news for cord cutters is all the other services out there that deliver access to even more great content without the need for a cable TV subscription. And now, a new streaming service has emerged with a unique streaming offering: Live TV for free.

This leaked iPhone 12 is so fake, but it brings back Touch ID and I can’t stop staring at it
We still have about seven months left to wait until Apple announces and then releases the new iPhone 12, but we already know so much about it thanks to a series of leaks from reliable sources. Actually, it’s one source in particular that has been all over Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup beginning late last year, and it won’t come as much of a surprise when you see who: TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He’s the most well-connected Apple insider out there and he seemingly has sources throughout Apple’s supply chain in and around China. And according to everything Kuo has shared so far about Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 12 series, we’re in store for a massive upgrade in 2020.
After three years of iPhones that all had roughly the same design, Apple reportedly has a huge design refresh in store for us later this year. The new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models coming in September will apparently sport a design that harkens back to the iPhone 5 everyone loved so much, with flat metal edges around the outside of the handsets instead of the rounded edges we’ve seen on iPhones ever since the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus debuted back in 2014. The iPhone 12 lineup will also reportedly be Apple’s first iPhones with support for newer 5G cellular networks, and we’ve heard about a few other changes we can expect to see in the iPhone 12 series when it debuts later this year. Two things that aren’t expected to change are the notch at the top of the screen and the lack of a home button at the bottom of the screen, but a new iPhone 12 design leak seems to suggest that both of those changes are coming to the iPhone 12.
