One-time Apple fanboy explains why he dumped his iPhone for a Moto X
It’s always entertaining to read what happens when longtime iPhone devotees switch to another platform, regardless of whether they like their new platform of choice or absolutely hate everything about it. CNN’s David Goldman, however, is a somewhat unusual case — he’s a self-described former “big Apple fan” who dropped his iPhone last year in favor of the Moto X, Motorola’s little-bought Android phone that came in with lesser specifications than other Android heavyweights released last year such as the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One.

How to get a refund on apps you buy from Google Play
As crucial as apps have become to the mobile experience, people still often balk at the idea of paying for mobile applications. Spending $7 on a cup of coffee that lasts 15 minutes is no problem, but spending even $1 on an app that might dramatically improve one’s life is somehow a far more difficult commitment. People will work past their hesitations as time moves on but in the meantime, convincing people to spend money on mobile apps can be a tough sell.
It might be somewhat easier, however, when Android users realize that they can easily get a refund on apps that don’t live up to their expectations.

Editors’ Picks: 2014 Best looking new cars
Filed under:
From an early age, we’re taught to never judge a book by its cover. But let’s be honest here: looks matter. This is especially true when it comes to cars. Sure, driving dynamics, having the best interior quality and the longest lasting reliability are important attributes. But I guarantee that somewhere inside of you there’s a desire to be behind the wheel of something so gorgeous that it makes people go “Wow!” when you drive past.
Cars today can be absolutely beautiful objects, many of them the product of years of artistry, design and engineering. We recently asked our team of colleagues at AOL Autos and our editors here at Autoblog to help pick the vehicles they see as the best looking new cars on the road (so no concept cars allowed). It wasn’t an easy task, and the subjective nature of the topic resulted in much internal and external debate, but we were able to eventually each settle this list of the top 12 best looking cars of 2014.
Click here to see the dozen rides that we think are among the most attractive on the road today. While many exist solely for the pleasure of the one per cent, there are still a few out there that the average car enthusiast and consumer can afford to drive.

LG G3 VS. GALAXY S5: 5 awesome LG G3 features that make the Galaxy S5 look obsolete
It wasn’t exactly a surprise since specs and details surrounding LG’s new flagship smartphone have been leaking for months, but the company finally unveiled its new G3 handset on Tuesday. We took an early look at the phone in our hands-on LG G3 preview, and we found that LG’s new flagship phone outshines its predecessor in just about every way.
LG certainly has an uphill climb if it hopes to compete with top rival Samsung, but thanks to cutting-edge technology and a few innovative features, there are also several areas where the G3 doesn’t just top the G2, it outshines Samsung’s market-leading Galaxy S5 as well.
