Of course Samsung isn’t content with simply dodging a massive bullet
Even though Samsung has been found to be infringing three out of the five patents Apple asserted in its second U.S. trial against the Android device maker, the company only has to pay $120 million in damages, a far cry from the $2.2 billion Apple asked for. However, Samsung told Bloomberg that it will still appeal the case, looking to further reduce the amount all the way down to zero if possible.

One lucky college student accidentally received a $350,000 drone in the mail
It has all the makings of a terrible early-’80s frat comedy: A college kid receives an expensive aerial drone in the mail and hilarity ensues involving drone-assisted beer runs and raids of girls’ dorm rooms. Amazingly, Motherboard reports that something very similar actually happened recently when a college student in the Boston area accidentally received parts of a $350,000 aerial drone in the mail and posted pictures of it on Reddit. Motherboard confirmed that the drone is actually the property of the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the agency has told the publication that it’s not sure exactly how the drone wound up in the student’s mailbox.

‘Moves’ iPhone app changes privacy policy after being acquired by Facebook
We have covered Moves a few times here on BGR. The sleek and smart iPhone app counts your steps each day using the iPhone 5s’s in-built M7 motion co-processor, and it collects and presents that data in a great-looking minimalistic interface. Not long ago, the company behind Moves was acquired by Facebook. On the plus side, Facebook instantly made the app free following the acquisition. But as many had feared, the company also changed the app’s privacy policy.

Saturn Drives exotic car cruise kicks off supercar driving season in Toronto
Filed under:
Hosting over 130 exotic supercars and custom luxury vehicles in the same place sure draws some attention, as Saturn Drives kicked off another year of organized car cruise events in Southern Ontario.
We’ve gone ahead and gathered a huge photo gallery showing these rev-happy car enthusiasts out in full force, as the roaring pack of Lamborghini Aventadors was seen driving alongside several Ford GTs, Dodge Vipers, Porsches, Aston Martins, Ferraris and more. The sound of these cars could be heard from miles away, marking the unmistakable sound that Spring has indeed sprung.
The organized event featured a full day cruise along some of the GTA’s nicest roads (while obeying the law of course) and wrapped up with an exotic car BBQ sponsored by Saturns Drives and Signature Luxury Division in Toronto. The crowded parking lot was packed with a few hundred spectators hoping to get a closer look at all of these dream cars on display.
Click here to view the full photo gallery from the event for yourself and stay tuned for more.

Watch this ridiculous speech that would make even Mike Judge’s Silicon Valley characters blush
Is parody even possible when it comes to the tech world? It’s a question that needs to be asked in the wake of a speech given this week by Justin Rosenstein, a former Google and Facebook engineer who cofounded Asana in 2008. Speaking at TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference on Monday, Rosenstein delivered a keynote that oozed with every single ridiculous Silicon Valley trope we’ve ever heard and was so hilariously self-important that we can’t even imagine Mike Judge signing off on it in his hit HBO satire Silicon Valley.
