There’s a surprise on this week’s list of Amazon’s 5 best-selling electronics devices
- Coronavirus face masks and hand sanitizers are definitely still the best-selling products among our readers because everyone knows at this point that a second wave of coronavirus infections is coming.
- Amazon is finally beginning to showcase deals on nonessential items again though, and it has led to a surge in sales across several different categories.
- The consumer electronics category has been particularly hot this week, and there’s a surprise on this week’s list of Amazon’s 5 best-selling gadgets.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
It really couldn’t be more clear which product is the most popular right now among BGR Deals readers: face masks. The CDC says on its coronavirus site that we all should wear a face covering each and every time we leave our homes for any reason. You don’t need a medical-grade mas since you’re also going to be practicing strict social distancing and good hygiene. A well-made 3-ply face mask will work wonders to protect you and those around you, and that’s why tens of thousands of our readers have bought them over the past month. Things like bandanas and DIY face masks are okay, but the ones we linked are much better and they’re only $0.70 each right now. Why not take advantage and get some extra protection?
Aside from face masks, electronics are still quite popular among our readers because everyone is looking for new toys to play with while sheltering in place. For example, Apple’s insanely popular AirPods Pro are top sellers since they’re available at a new all-time low price on Amazon, and both AirPods 2 models have been flying off the shelves as well. None of Apple’s headphones are popular enough to make Amazon’s top-5 list this week though, so let’s take a look at the gadgets that did.
5. SanDisk 128GB MicroSDXC UHS-I Memory Card for Nintendo Switch
There’s a big surprise on this week’s list, a product that hasn’t made the top 5 in months. That’s right, it’s the SanDisk 128GB MicroSDXC UHS-I Memory Card for Nintendo Switch. This specially made and specially branded microSD card was designed specifically to perform as well as possible in the wildly popular Nintendo Switch. Switch consoles might be impossible to find in stock anywhere right now, but there are clearly still plenty of people who already have a Switch and are looking to expand their storage at a great price.
SanDisk 128GB MicroSDXC UHS-I Memory Card for Nintendo Switch – SDSQXAO-128G-GNCZN: $27.99
4. Echo Dot with Clock
Amazon’s Echo devices are back on sale this week, which means the most popular among them have once again shot to the top of the site’s best-sellers list. That includes the Echo Dot with Clock, which can be had right now for $44.99 instead of $60.
Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with clock and Alexa – Sandstone: $44.99
3. Echo Dot
The $50 Echo Dot is one of Amazon’s best-selling devices of all time, and a big part of the reason why is because it often goes on sale for even less than $50. Grab one today and you’ll only pay $39.99!
Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with Alexa – Plum: $39.99 (use code DOT2PACK)
2. Fire TV Stick 4K
The Echo Dot with Clock was #3 on the list earlier this month, but it got knocked back to #4 by none other than the Fire TV Stick 4K. It’s a fantastic value considering it packs support for 4K resolution and HDR into a tiny dongle, and the Alexa voice remote is fantastic. Also of note, a lucky few people can snag one right now for just $24.99 with the coupon code 4KFIRETV. You can learn more about this special deal right here.
Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device with Alexa built in, Dolby Vision, includes Alexa Voice Remot…: $24.99 (use code 4KFIRETV)
Fire TV Stick 4K streaming device with Alexa built in, Dolby Vision, includes Alexa Voice Remot…: $49.99
1. Fire TV Stick
Amazon’s Fire TV Stick is one of the company’s best-selling products of all time, so it should come as no surprise that it tops this week’s list. That’s especially true since everyone is stuck at home so much these days, and they’re all streaming more movies and shows than ever before. The Fire TV Stick was sold out for a few weeks but now it’s finally back in stock and ready to ship out this week. There’s no telling how long Amazon’s current inventory will last though, so grab one now if you’re in need of a new streaming media player.
Fire TV Stick streaming media player with Alexa built in, includes Alexa Voice Remote, HD, easy…: $39.99

Amazon is blowing out Fire TVs up to 55 inches with prices starting at $119.99
- If you’re looking for the best TV deals right now, look no further because Amazon has three terrific TV deals that you’ll definitely want to check out.
- The first two cover the two best-selling Fire TV Edition televisions that Amazon offers, with prices starting at just $119.99.
- Do you prefer Roku’s user interface to Amazon’s Fire TV software? You can also save $100 on a 4K TV that comes with Roku preinstalled.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
You know as well as I do that a “smart TV” isn’t really a smart TV most of the time. Sure, TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, and others can run apps. And sure, they’re fine if all you want to do is stream movies and shows on Netflix. The simple fact of the matter, however, is that no TV maker will ever support all the apps and games you want on your TV. That means regardless of whether or not you buy a “smart TV,” you’ll need to make it even smarter by adding a streaming media player like a Fire TV Stick, Roku device, or an Apple TV.
Now, there is one important exception. Some vendors sell televisions that ditch the proprietary platforms and instead have Fire TV software or Roku software built right in. That’s pretty much the only time you’ll get away with not having to buy a separate streaming media player. And right now, several of the best options out there that have Fire TV software or Roku software preinstalled are on sale at their lowest prices of 2020. In fact, the two Fire TV Edition televisions we’re going to tell you about have been discounted all week, but they both just got even deeper discounts this morning!
First and foremost, the Insignia NS-32DF310NA19 32-inch Smart HD TV – Fire TV Edition is the single best-selling television on Amazon’s entire site. It’s perfect for a guest bedroom, the kitchen, or any other space where you need a compact TV. This model retails for $170 but right now you can pick one up for just $119.99.
Insignia NS-32DF310NA19 32-inch Smart HD TV – Fire TV Edition: $119.99
If you need something a bit larger for your living room, the basement, or your master bedroom, it doesn’t get much better than the Toshiba TF-55A810U21 55-inch Smart 4K UHD TV – Fire TV Edition. It has a stunning display, Dolby Vision, and it’s on sale for $349.99 right now instead of $450.
Toshiba TF-55A810U21 55-inch Smart 4K UHD with Dolby Vision and DTS TruSurround TV – Fire TV Ed…: $349.99
Last but certainly not least, the $330 TCL 43S425 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV is on sale today for only $229.99. It’s sized right between the other two and it runs Roku software instead of Fire TV. Also of note, the 55-inch model is on sale for $299.99 and while it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles you’ll find on the Toshiba model above, it’s a great value at that price.
TCL 43S425 43 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV (2018): $229.99

Dr. Fauci has some good news about a coronavirus vaccine
- Dr. Anthony Fauci said that he’s “cautiously optimistic” about the coronavirus vaccine Moderna is working on.
- The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is one of Moderna’s partners on the COVID-19 drug, but the agency has been quiet this week on the heels of Moderna’s preliminary announcement.
- Fauci explained that the COVID-19 vaccine candidate proved to be safe for test subjects and effective, meaning it was able to train the immune system to develop the neutralizing antibodies that could stop the novel coronavirus from reaching cells.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci is one of the leading and most popular members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Fauci routinely appears on TV and in interviews to detail various efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and find a cure for the novel coronavirus. The doctor has spoken about the viability of vaccines on several occasions, most recently saying that the first vaccine could be just a few months away. He also authored a paper together with other health experts detailing a plan for this particular type of COVID-19 drug, where they said that a single vaccine might not be enough for the world’s needs.
Moderna’s vaccine candidate was the first to reach Phase 1 human trials a few months ago, and the company delivered its early results on the matter earlier this week. At the time, NIAID did not express an opinion on the issue, but now Fauci says he’s cautiously optimistic.

TSA is making 3 changes to stop coronavirus from spreading on planes
- The COVID-19 coronavirus’ US impact continues to be felt far and wide, with few industries impacted by the outbreak of the pandemic as much as hospitality and travel.
- As Americans gear up to celebrate Memorial Day this weekend, some travelers will want to get out of the house finally — and, more specifically, to actually get out of town.
- Here are some of the coronavirus-related changes you can expect from the TSA if your travels include a flight this weekend.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Travel industry professionals are especially keen to see how the next several days unfold, both to see whether the Memorial Day weekend brings an uptick in travelers deciding to hit the road or take to the skies — and, also, what kind of effect that will have on the COVID-19 coronavirus’ US toll.
Already, we’ve heard horror stories about the dystopian-sounding experiences that some fliers are having, including the sight of flight attendants in hazmat suits. In preparation for making cabins safe for fliers and airline employees alike, carriers have resorted to measures including flying at reduced capacity, keeping middle seats open, stepping up cleaning procedures, and requiring employees and fliers to wear face masks. But the coronavirus-related changes you’ll encounter if you plan to head out of town this weekend extend well beyond the plane’s cabin, with the TSA having also just announced several new procedures it’s starting to roll out to keep everyone safe from the virus that’s now infected almost 1.6 million people in the US as of the time of this writing.

Protein bars are perfect for a quick bite when you’re in a rush. They’re also packed full of nutrition unlike most quick and easy snacks people eat, and they’re actually quite filling so you don’t have to worry about wanting a snack a few hours later.
There are plenty of options out there for good protein bars these days. Some taste better than others, but they’ve come a long way in recent years, generally speaking. Finding one that tastes decent used to be a daunting task, but now you’ll find that most of the popular options out there taste okay. Now, if you want something that tastes absolutely delicious and still has all the protein you need without all the carbs, you want Quest Hero Bars.
When I tell you that Hero bars are delicious, I’m not exaggerating at all. They’re not just tasty when compared to other protein bars, they’re tasty, period. Your body doesn’t metabolize it like sugar though so it doesn’t have all the carbs and calories associated with sugar.
Head over to Amazon right now and you’ll find the two very best flavors, Quest Nutrition Blueberry Cobbler Hero Protein Bars and Quest Nutrition Chocolate Caramel Pecan Hero Protein Bars, both available with a special deal. Buy one buy at full price and you can save 25% on a second box! Each box contains 10 bars but trust us, they won’t last long when you realize how delicious they are. Also, you can buy one box of each flavor and still get the discount, and there are even some other types of protein bars that are eligible for the deal. The Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor Hero bars are in stock rigth now as well and available for $19.98 per box, but they’re not eligible for the 25% off deal.

The past few months have been fantastic in terms of new additions to Netflix’s ever-expanding catalog of content, and June 2020 is going to be more of the same.

KN95 masks are actually in stock today at Amazon – but not for long
- So many people are looking for N95 masks for sale in light of the fact that the CDC recommends we all should wear face masks anytime we leave our homes.
- Of course, the CDC also says we shouldn’t buy N95 face masks because hospital workers and other people on the front lines of the fight against the novel coronavirus have a much greater need.
- If you want extra protection without buying price-gouged N95 masks and taking resources away from hospitals, Amazon has KN95 face masks in stock right now.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
When it comes to combating the spread of the novel coronavirus, Jointown 3-layer face masks are still by far the most popular option among our readers. Thousands and thousands of people buy them each week because we all know that the novel coronavirus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Actually, the very fact that states are beginning to reopen nonessential businesses far too soon basically guarantees that the inevitable coronavirus second wave will come sooner than expected. Just look at what’s happening in Texas right now and you’ll see that it’s unavoidable.
If you want to do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19 even as economies reopen, you need to do three things. First, as the CDC says right on its website, wear a mask every single time you go out of your home for any reason. Second, practice strict social distancing. And third, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer anytime you touch a surface in public. That’s it — if everyone would just do those three simple things, some studies believe the spread of the new coronavirus would be reduced by a whopping 80%.
Face Mask, Pack of 50: $34.99 ($0.70 / mask)
The Jointown face masks we mentioned above do a fine job of protecting you as long as you also practice social distancing and good hygiene. They’re also wonderfully inexpensive at just 70¢ per mask, so you should definitely stock up on a few boxes while they’re in stock. There are some higher-risk situations where you want a bit more protection though. For example, when you go shopping in a grocery store, take public transportation, or fly on an airplane. That’s why it’s also a very good idea to stock up on some KN95 face masks that you can use in those situations, but KN95 masks are much more difficult to come by these days.
10PCS Upgraded 6-Layer Protection, Mouth Cover,Suitable for Adult,US Stock: $31.99 ($3.20 / mask)
There’s no question that they’ll sell out soon, but Athphy KN95 face masks are somehow back in stock right now at Amazon. It has been about a month since we last saw them and they flew off the shelves back then. These face masks feature four layers of protection and are rated to filter 95% or more of microscopic airborne particles out of the air we breathe. You absolutely still need to practice strict social distancing and good hygiene, but these masks are great for some added peace of mind in higher-risk situations.
