New ‘Reaper of Death’ dinosaur species found in Canada
Decades of science fiction has taught us that the Tyrannosaurus rex was the mighty king of the dinosaurs, but researchers now believe that the most iconic dino may have been more of a scavenger than a hunter. Nevertheless, the Tyrannosaurus family is full of interesting creatures, and thanks to paleontologists in Canada, that family just got a little bit larger.
A team of researchers studying fossils located in Alberta, Canada, have identified what is believed to be an entirely new member of the Tyrannosaurus family, and it may have been significantly more fearsome than the T. rex we’re all so familiar with.

Don’t miss this new Southwest Airlines fare sale, with flights discounted as low as $39
Have you ever thought about whisking away your loved one for a sudden romantic getaway, just the two of you, the way they do in the movies? The whole, pack-your-bags-honey-we’re-going-away-for-the-weekend routine? There’s probably not a more perfect time to do that than this weekend, with Valentine’s Day coming up on Friday. And especially for those of you waiting until the last minute to pick out a gift — this is the kind of that would make you look like the ultimate romantic hero. Which is no doubt why Southwest Airlines has just kicked off yet another massive fare sale, with flights as low as $39.
They’re not all discounted to that degree, but there’s still an abundance of great deals pretty much across the board. It’s gotten to the point where I’m happy to be paying under a grand, total, for flights for two people these days — and, of course, everything you’ll find here is pretty much a fraction of that.

WHO gives coronavirus a new name
You’ve been seeing the word “coronavirus” all over the news lately, and for good reason. The new strain of the virus that was traced to China has now claimed over 1,000 lives and has infected tens of thousands of people.
But there are different strains of coronavirus, so an official name makes sense if we want to differentiate this particular outbreak from other varieties of the same virus. The World Health Organization finally got around to naming this particular strain of coronavirus, so say hello to Covid-19.

The biggest mobile show of the year might be canceled because of the Wuhan coronavirus
What seemed like an impossible scenario a few weeks ago might happen after all. The biggest mobile show of the year might be canceled, which would be a first in the long history of the Mobile World Congress.
Every year, the biggest names in tech head to Barcelona, Spain for the better part of a week to unveil brand all of their new products. The most important smartphones, tablets, PCs, and new technologies of the year are all unveiled and demoed at the show. MWC has only gotten bigger and bigger in the past few years, just as the smartphone became, for many people, the most important personal computer. MWC 2020 is some two weeks away, but the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak might end up leading to the cancellation of the entire event.

Samsung’s new ‘Space Zoom’ feature on its S20 lineup is amazing
With Samsung’s annual Unpacked event now in the books, there is no shortage of stories and announcements to dissect. For starters, Samsung earlier today introduced the Galaxy Flip Z, a brand new foldable phone that looks substantially more impressive than the joke that was the Galaxy Fold. Additionally, Samsung’s Galaxy S20 lineup represents the company’s most significant foray into the world of 5G.
That said, one area in particular that’s worth focusing on centers on all of the new camera technologies Samsung managed to pack into its S20 lineup. Aside from super high-resolution photos and the ability to record video in 8K, the one feature that captured my attention the most is Space Zoom.

Error leads to coronavirus patient leaving hospital early
With the coronavirus scare still sweeping the globe, we’re putting a lot of faith in our health care systems and medical establishments to keep a lid on what seems to be a contagious and dangerous new virus. Unfortunately, sometimes things slip through the cracks, and one such incident recently happened in San Diego, California, where a US evacuee from China who was infected with the virus was allowed to leave and go about their day.
As CNN reports, the individual was part of a group that was evacuated from China by chartered jets that brought them to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar for evaluation. The individual was hospitalized with several others and then released after a two-week quarantine period. Unfortunately, one of those patients did indeed have the virus.
