Late last month, the CDC issued a warning that sounded very familiar to anyone who remembers the widespread romaine lettuce recalls from 2018. Scientists had identified a strain of E. coli in lettuce from the Salinas Valley, California, growing region. This was obviously bad news for anyone who was hoping to incorporate romaine lettuce into their holiday dishes, but it’s also a sign of a troubling trend.

Now, a separate warning over potentially contaminated lettuce has been issued by the CDC, this time linking a strain of E. coli to popular pre-chopped salad kits. The kits, which are sold under the brand name Fresh Express, are sold across several states and have already resulted in multiple confirmed E. coli infections and hospitalizations.

Disney+ has been available for only a month and the streaming service is already is a huge success for Disney. Not only do you get access to plenty of new and old Disney shows, but the Disney+ subscription is actually cheaper than any of Disney’s rivals. For $6.99, you get support for four simultaneous Disney+ streams that go up to 4K UHD quality, depending on the show. Netflix’s cheapest plan ($8.99) only supports streaming SD shows to a single device at a time. If you pay for a full year of Disney+ access, the monthly cost goes down to $5.83. It’s no wonder that more than 10 million people subscribed to Disney+ at launch, with many of them having taken advantage of even cheaper pre-release deals. And that number may hit 20 million by the end of the year, according to recent estimates.

All that is apparently enough to scare Netflix into finding better ways to compete against its biggest rival to date. And that includes testing new membership plans that would reduce the cost of Netflix plans when paying for a full year of the service.

Sony’s playing an interesting PlayStation 5 reveal game with fans right now, as the company decided to announce plenty of exciting details about the next-gen console with more than a year left to go until the actual release. Sony told us what to expect in terms of processing power from the console, revealed it’ll use lightning-fast SSD inside the PlayStation for the first time ever, and announced some of the upgrades planned for the DualShock controller that will accompany the PS5. But Sony left out key PS5 details, including the console’s design, actual price, and the release date, preferring to keep things secret for as long as possible.

That didn’t stop leaks from making their way online, and we’ve seen rumors that addressed the PS5’s design and launch details. But the only one that saw multiple confirmations so far concerns the design of the PS5 console that Sony sent to developers — it looks like the device in the unofficial render above. That’s certainly a daring design for a development rig, but that doesn’t mean Sony will actually use it for the finalized product. While we wait for Sony to finally reveal the PS5’s looks though, we have one more concept for you that’ss based on the leaked dev kit… and it’s fantastic.
