OnePlus suffers second major data breach in two years

Late on Friday, OnePlus revealed that its systems were breached by an unauthorized third party individual or individuals and that a whole bunch of user information was exposed. Notifications began arriving in user inboxes shortly thereafter, and while OnePlus insists that no payment information was snooped by the bad actors, the breach appears to be part of a troubling trend.

Back in early 2018, OnePlus revealed that a data breach exposed the credit card details of some 40,000 of its customers. That breach happened in November of the previous year and included credit card numbers, security codes, and expiration dates. This latest breach appears to be somewhat less serious, but it’s nonetheless annoying for OnePlus users.

Disney+ launched almost two weeks ago, and the streaming service is already a massive success for the company, with more than 10 million people having already subscribed to it. It’s not really surprising considering that the low price and huge catalog are two reasons why getting a Disney+ subscription is a no-brainer.

However, Disney+ isn’t perfect, and the streaming issues that Disney had to deal with at launch is proof of that. Not to mention that the app isn’t on par with what competitors offer when it comes to functionality. Just a few days ago, we explained Disney+ lacked a basic feature to let you resume where you left off. Disney said that it’s already working on a fix, and it looks like some people are already seeing it on some platforms.

Hospital may have accidentally exposed over 1,000 patients to HIV and other viruses

A hospital in Indiana says it may have exposed as many as 1,182 of its patients to a variety of serious diseases including HIV, hepatitis C, and hepatitis B. The announcement comes as the hospital admits that it was failing to sanitize its instruments in the correct manner, skipping a step that is intended to ensure total sterilization and disinfection.

The bulletin by Goshen Hospital notes that those who were potentially impacted by the error can come in for free testing to detect whether or not they now have any of the three serious infections. The hospital considers the risk of an infection to be low, as the instruments used were still sterilized to a certain degree, but the potential remains that one or more of the viruses jumped from one patient to the next via unsterile instruments.

We’re still a few months out from the official unveiling of Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, but leaks have already started to pile up. In fact, just last week, we got our first look at what might be the final design of the Galaxy S11 from 91Mobiles and @OnLeaks, and just a day later, the same tipster teamed up with Pricebaba to share renders of the Galaxy S11e as well. Once again, Samsung is running out of surprises for its launch event.

If you’ve seen the Galaxy S11 renders, the first thing that you’ll notice is that the Galaxy S11e appears to be virtually identical, at least in terms of its design. We see the same center-aligned hole-punch selfie camera, the same button placement, and the same vertical camera array that appears to be a staple of the S11 line.
