The best deal in wireless is even better with these $15 a month smartphone plans
This is a sponsored article and all content and opinions expressed within are of the author.
Signing a contract for a new phone plan can be a gigantic hassle. There’s always hidden charges lurking on the next page and the plan could change midway through its run if you go over a certain usage limit. And for those of us who aren’t glued to our phones constantly, why should we pay for data we aren’t using? Being locked into a contract means you’re stuck for over a year with no way out.
Now, you don’t have to worry about any of that noise, thanks to Mint Mobile. Mint Mobile offers simple mobile plans starting as low as $15/mo, all on the nation’s most advanced LTE network. You pay for what you need and only that. No more getting suckered into buying unlimited 4G data plans and then not being able to carry over unused data from month to month. Mint offers plans with 3GB, 8GB, or 12GB of 4G LTE data, so you can choose the amount that’s right for you. The unlimited talk and text helps to stay in touch with, if you’re like me, your mom who calls and texts you a lot.
How do they offer plans for $15/mo? They switched up the wireless industry model and went online only — surprise, those retail stores and overhead are expensive. They also introduced the concept of buying in bulk to your phone plan, where the more months you buy upfront, the lower your monthly rate. You can get a taste of their best monthly rate on the introductory 3-month plan. The best part is, if you’re loving your plan and the great coverage that’s provided, you can choose a longer plan and lock in their lowest price. For $15/mo, $180 upfront, you can get their 3GB/mo plan for 12 months and forget about your phone bill until next year. The 8GB/mo plan runs you $20/mo and the 12GB/mo plan comes in at $25/mo. Mint Mobile also gives you a free SIM card, unlike some companies who charge for new cards, and it has three different sizes (standard, micro, and nano) to fit whichever device you have. You also get the ability to turn your device into a mobile hotspot, all on the nation’s fastest network.
To me, it’s a very freeing feeling to know you’re not bogged down by a contract you can’t get out of. Switching to Mint means you only have to worry about shopping online for your wireless plan. It’s easy to do from anywhere, simply by heading to their website. One of the best things about Mint is that you can try it at almost no cost to you. Checking out a three-month plan gives you the freedom to give it a go and test it out for yourself. Their three-month plan costs about as much as another carrier’s plan would be for just a month. And they offer a seven-day, money-back guarantee, so there’s no harm in trying it out! You’re saving in the long run, no matter what!
But I know what you’re thinking: moving to a different carrier often times means having to change your phone number. Well, if your phone is compatible, Mint Mobile not only allows you to keep your phone number, they let you keep your phone! That’s right, you can keep the phone you love and the number that all your friends have (and your mom who might text or call too much.) If you want a new phone number, that’s fine too and it won’t cost you extra!
If you’re at all worried about switching up your carrier or have questions about what might be the best for you, Mint’s website is chock full of amazing information and they don’t hide behind any big fancy jargon. It’s simple to find the answers on the website, as I’ve enjoyed their helpful chat function that allows you to ask whatever you want. Plus, you can always check the FAQ section to find what you need. If you prefer speaking on the phone, you can easily call a sales rep or customer support who will answer any question you have.
So here’s how it works: First, you need to visit Mintmobile.com to see if their coverage is right for your area. Next, you’ll need to see if your device is compatible. Then, choose your plan. Once you sign up, they’ll send you a sim card kit and all you need to do is punch it off the kit, insert it into the phone, and activate it. Then you’re on your way to saving a ton of money on your wireless bill.
Here’s an overview of Mint Mobile’s $15/mo for 3 months offer:
- 7-Day Money Back Guarantee— so you can get a taste of the Mint life risk-free!
- 3 months of wireless service for $15/month (regular price $25/month)
- 3GB of 4G LTE data per month; data speeds reduce after monthly allowance but data is unlimited
- Unlimited talk, text and data delivered on the nation’s fastest, most advanced 4G LTE network
- Includes FREE international calls to Mexico and Canada
- BYOP program that allows you to bring your own unlocked GSM phone
- Mobile HotSpot: turn your device into a WiFi hotspot
- WiFi Talk & Text: Send calls and texts without full network coverage when you’re on WiFi!
Start saving by switching to Mint Mobile and get unlimited talk and text for as low as $15/mo.

Bloomberg says an Apple Music, TV+, and News+ mega-bundle may be coming in 2020
Just a couple of weeks after Apple TV+ officially launched to the public, Bloomberg reports that Apple is considering bundling Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple News+ as soon as 2020 in order to attract more subscribers. This plan has been rumored for quite some time, but sources say that Apple has made deals with publishers that would allow the company to bundle the news subscription service with its other digital offerings.
As it stands, Apple News+ costs $10 a month, granting access to dozens of newspapers and magazines which are said to receive about 50% of the subscription cost. If Apple News+ were to be part of a bundle, the publishers would have to take a smaller cut of the subscription, as the price of the service will likely be reduced when bundled.

Free money is better than any early Black Friday sale, and Amazon is giving away $15
Black Friday 2019 is right around the corner and there are going to be some truly crazy sales this year. In fact, there are already a ton of great early Black Friday deals available right now on Amazon and elsewhere. But no matter how good a Black Friday deal is, and no matter how deep a discount is, there’s one offer that will always be better: Free money.
That’s right, BGR Deals readers, Amazon is giving away free money and you’re positively insane if you don’t accept it — as long as you’re eligible, that is. Here’s how this awesome promotion works: head to this page on the Amazon site and click the button to add the promotion to your account. Then buy $50 worth of Amazon gift cards and you’ll get a $15 credit on your account within a couple of days. That’s all there is to it! After you buy it, add the $50 gift card balance to your own account since you’ll obviously spend that money on Amazon during the Black Friday blowout anyway, and you’ll end up with $65. The one catch is that the promo is available only to people who have never purchased Amazon gift cards before on the Amazon website. We made that last part bold because you can still take advantage of the promotion if you’ve purchased physical Amazon gift cards in a store, just not if you bought them online from Amazon.
The coupon code 19GIFTCARD is also supposed to work for this offer, but people have had much better luck with the first method. Go to the promo page, click the button, and then buy at least $50 worth of virtual Amazon gift cards (or physical cards if you want to give them as gifts). Now before you even ask, if you don’t see a button on that page to add the promo to your account, it means you’re not eligible, most likely because you’ve already purchased gift cards from Amazon in the past.

Apple will release a fourth new iPhone in 2020, and it’s coming way before the iPhone 12
All signs point to Apple’s new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro series release having been a resounding success. Apple doesn’t share sales figures anymore, but the company’s solid earnings and insider estimates point to very solid unit sales. And then there’s the reception by the public to consider. Critics and end-users alike have been raving about the iPhone 11 non-stop, particularly about the iPhone 11 Pro phones and their dramatically improved cameras. After falling behind top rivals like Huawei and Google for the past few years, Apple finally stepped up its game and debuted a new triple-lens camera system that many argue is the best smartphone camera on the planet right now.
There’s a lot to love about Apple’s iPhone 11 series smartphones, and word on the street is that next year’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro updates are going to be massive. We’ve heard rumors of 5G support, 120Hz ProMotion displays, quad-lens camera systems, and a massive redesign with flat metal edges like the iPhone 5 and a smaller notch. But there are people out there who have a few specific complaints about the iPhone 11 series, and next year’s iPhone 12 handsets aren’t expected to address those issues. As it turns out, however, there’s a fourth new iPhone model set to be released next year, and we just got word from the world’s top Apple insider that the phone’s release is now mere months away.

Motorola Razr foldable phone is official – here’s what you need to know
Lenovo’s Motorola division unveiled the 2019 Razr smartphone, marking the resurrection of a beloved series of phones that many of us remember fondly. The original Razr flip phone was a stunning device that had no rival in the industry. This was before the iPhone revolutionized the smartphone business, making phones like the dumb Razr obsolete. Yet Motorola is still looking to take advantage of the power of the Razr brand and convince you to buy the 2019 Razr Version. Motorola did try to keep the Razr name alive with several Android phones in the early days of Android, but none of them looked anything like the original, as none of them could be folded in half. The new handset is like no other Razr flip phone before it, because this one is, after all, a smartphone. And the new Razr happens to be a foldable phone like no other in the industry so far.

The internet’s newest obsession is this adorable dog with a tail growing from his face
The golden retriever puppy named Narwhal who was found and is being cared for by Missouri-based rescue service Mac’s Mission is one of the most extraordinarily cute canines you’ll ever see. That’s not hyperbole — it’s thanks to the fact that this good boy has a tail growing from his face, which is why he was given the name of a whale that has a tusk extending from the canine tooth.
The rescue service found Narwhal, who’s since become an Internet sensation, after he’d been wandering around in freezing cold temperatures in Jackson, Missouri. Besides the unusual tail on his face, he also was nursing an injured paw.

Nobody knows what’s creating oxygen on Mars
NASA’s Curiosity rover returned some seriously surprising data to Earth earlier this year, with readings of elevated methane levels that were hard to explain. Subsequent tests attempted to pin down the cause of the higher-than-expected readings but scientists have yet to come up with a definitive answer.
Now, as questions about methane continue to swirl, scientists studying the behavior of gasses on Mars have noticed that oxygen on the Red Planet also acts much differently than it does on Earth. The observations were made in the Gale Crater, which the rover has called home since it landed there back in 2012.
