‘Vaping illness’ definitively linked to Vitamin E in bootleg THC vapes
When a mysterious “vaping illness” began sweeping the nation a few months back it was met with a whole lot of head-scratching from the medical community. People have been vaping for years, so why would users begin having extreme reactions to the products after all this time? Now we know.
As was suspected shortly after vape-related lung injuries began to surface, a new study reveals that vitamin E acetate present in poorly-made THC vape products is the likely cause of over 2,000 lung injury cases and 39 deaths. The substance recently became a go-to substitute for vape juice producers looking to cut corners, especially in black market THC cartridges where there’s no oversight or regulation.

Marvel confirms you need to watch the Disney+ shows to follow the MCU
When Disney revealed that Marvel Studios would be producing new shows for Disney+, and that those shows would feature many of the same characters (and actors) we had been introduced to in theaters, it seemed clear that Marvel fans would need a Disney+ subscription in order to make sense of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. In an interview with Bloomberg this week, Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed as much.
We already knew that many (if not all) of the Disney+ shows would tie into the MCU, but we didn’t know how vital they would be to the overarching story Marvel Studios will be building in the years to come. According to Feige, if you want to stay in the loop, watching the Disney+ shows probably won’t be optional.

Apple Arcade just topped 100 games following the addition of 6 new titles
“We know a place where mages run raves, harpies haunt the suburbs, and a road trip can save the world. Follow us.”
So goes a stirring introduction on the website of the adorable RPG game Guildlings, which describes itself as “a fantasy adventure in a world of wizards and wifi” from the Sirvo development team that also made the game Threes — and which is part of the latest batch of games to get added to Apple Arcade. Including Guildlings, six new games have just been added to Apple Arcade, all of which are playable on iPhones, iPads, and Apple TV.

Galaxy S11 may have a display unlike anything ever seen on a Samsung phone
LG may be the king of OLED displays when it comes to big-screen TVs, but it’s Samsung’s OLED tech that dominates the mobile market. Samsung’s screens are so good that they usually compete against themselves, with professional display reviewers always rating the latest Samsung OLED screen as the best in the industry, whether it’s stuck to a Samsung phone or the latest iPhone.
Come next year, the Galaxy S11 is expected to deliver an even better experience than its predecessor, though, thanks to a new technology that’s only just beginning to hit mainstream devices.

Before they inevitably revolt, watch a bunch of tiny robots play soccer
If you’ve ever wondered what the robot apocalypse would look like, look no further than what unfolded on the lawn outside of MIT’s Building 10 this week. There, on the grassy Killian Court, a spectacle unfolded that will likely become commonplace once AI-powered robots rise up and enslave their human masters.
A total of nine of MIT’s “Mini Cheetah” bots took to the leaf-littered lawn to play a bit of soccer. If you can ignore the intense fear building up in your gut right now, the whole thing is actually kind of adorable.

Disney+ is coming to Amazon Fire TV devices on launch day after all
As recently as this week, there was some question as to whether or not Disney’s upcoming video streaming service would be available on Amazon’s Fire TV devices at launch. In October, The Wall Street Journal reported that the two companies couldn’t agree on terms to bring the app to Amazon’s hardware, as Amazon wanted to sell “a substantial percentage of the ad space on Disney apps,” while Disney didn’t want to give up anything.
Disney and Amazon apparently made a deal this week, though, as a new WSJ report on Thursday revealed that the Disney+ app will indeed be available on Fire TVs. If you have a Fire TV hooked up to your television, you should be able to download the app on Tuesday, November 12th when the service launches.
