Get AirPods Pro at Amazon’s best price – or these hot rivals for $22
- Amazon is finally beginning to refocus on popular consumer goods after having shifted toward medical supplies for hospitals for the past couple of months.
- The retailer is now offering plenty of great deals on popular headphones that will be delivered within a week, and the star of the show today is Apple’s wildly popular AirPods Pro at Amazon’s all-time lowest price from Black Friday.
- They’re still a bit pricey even on sale, of course, so we found top-selling rival wireless earbuds that are a great alternative for just $22.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Amazon is still focused primarily on selling and delivering medial supplies right now, which is a good thing because our readers are buying up face masks and hand sanitizers by the tens of thousands. Amazon’s best-selling face masks are Jointown 3-layer face masks that are now back in stock fro just $0.78 each, and 8-ounce bottles of Natural Concepts 65% alcohol hand sanitizer have been flying off the store’s virtual shelves as well. If you haven’t already stocked up, you should do so right now because there’s no telling when they’re going to sell out again and potentially disappear for good.
Thankfully, Amazon is also finally beginning to shift some more resources back to other types of products like headphones, which have also been in high demand lately.
If you want the best of the best when it comes to true wireless earbuds, Apple’s extremely popular AirPods Pro are about as good as it gets. Everyone knows that they’re best-sellers at just about every retailer, and discounts are hard to come by in most stores. In fact, Apple has never even discounted these popular headphones itself. Amazon first slashed the price of AirPods Pro ahead of the holidays last year on Black Friday, and we have some good news: they’re back on sale right now at that discounted price. Shipping times are already starting to slip though, so grab a pair now or there’s no telling how long you’ll have to wait.
Apple AirPods Pro: $234.95
If AirPods Por are still a bit too pricey for you even on sale, we totally understand. That’s why we have two more great options for anyone looking for true wireless earphones. First, the best-selling SoundPEATS TrueCapsule Wireless Earbuds that are already so affordable at $31 are on sale today for $22.31 thanks to a discount and an extra 10% coupon you can clip.
SoundPEATS True Wireless Earbuds TWS Bluetooth Headphones in-Ear Stereo Bluetooth V5.0 Earphone…: $22.31
If you want something in between TrueCapsules and AirPods that offer premium sound quality for much less than you’ll spend on any of Apple’s various AirPods models, the excellent Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Wireless Earbuds that normally sell for $100 are down to $79.99 in either black or silver.
Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Wireless Earbuds, Diamond Coated Drivers, Bluetooth Earphones, 4…: $79.99

Scientists have developed antibodies that can kill coronavirus
- Researchers from the Netherlands and Japan have developed antibodies for the novel coronavirus that can neutralize the pathogen in labs.
- The drugs still need to prove their effectiveness in human trials, but they might be ready for wide use before a vaccine.
- Israel has also developed its own antibody compound, joining countries like America and Korea that are also studying monoclonal antibody therapy for COVID-19 patients.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
The flu kills thousands of people each year, yet we’re not afraid of it because we know what to do when the first symptoms appear. We can immediately recognize the signs and treat them with over the counter drugs. We know when things aren’t working and only then do we go for professional help. We can even get vaccines each year to help avoid reinfection.
Of course, we don’t have that luxury with COVID-19. There is no treatment for the novel coronavirus and there’s no telling if you’ll be able to walk it off or end up with a more severe case. But the months that have passed since the first cases were registered in China allowed researchers to study the virus closely and develop all sorts of treatment ideas that work.
Some treatments will be deployed immediately in hospitals, like remdesivir and blood thinners. Others will take more time, like the vaccine candidates that are in clinical trials. But there’s another form of COVID-19 therapy that’s starting to emerge and it looks like it’s already showing promising results. At least two separate teams claim they have identified antibodies that can kill the coronavirus, and the good news is these chemical compounds can be built into drugs that could be available to patients very soon.

Here’s why coronavirus is still spreading even though most of us are stuck at home
- The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has resulted in a steady increase of new cases around the US for weeks now.
- That might seem counterintuitive at first, when you consider that officials instituted draconian measures around the US to limit the spread of the virus, such as business closures and stay-at-home orders.
- Here’s a look at why the number of coronavirus cases has continued to climb.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
One of the things about the coronavirus pandemic that might surprise you, when you think about it, is the way cases have been on a pretty steady incline for weeks now, in spite of the fact that most of the US has been (and still is) subject to stay-at-home orders in order to clamp down on the spread of the virus. Moreover, the latest data shows that the COVID-19 virus is still growing at something like 2% to 4% every day.
To add some additional context to how much things are still increasing, a new report with data from the Penn Wharton Budget Model (PWBM) suggests that coronavirus cases in the US (which as of Thursday morning stand at more than 1.2 million) could reach 2.3 million by the end of June — even with current lockdown measures in place, which, of course, won’t happen since some of those are already being lifted. Again, though, you might be asking yourself why the numbers are steadily rising in spite of the draconian clampdown measures the US has taken in recent weeks.

Hand sanitizer is almost totally sold out at Amazon
- Amazon’s best-selling face masks are finally back in stock this week, which is great news because the CDC recommends that we wear them anytime we have to go out.
- There’s another must-have to combat coronavirus though, and it’s much more difficult to come by: Hand sanitizer.
- Hand sanitizer like Purell is still almost impossible to find in grocery stores and drug stores in most areas around the country, but Amazon still has a few good options in stock including very strong sanitizer with 75% alcohol.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Everyone out there should stop what he or she is doing right now and visit the CDC’s coronavirus page to refresh your memory. When it comes to protecting yourself and others from the novel coronavirus, there are a few things that you absolutely must do. First, you need to wear a face mask anytime you leave your house. It shouldn’t be a medical-grade N95 respirator since they’re still in such short supply in hospitals. All you need according to the CDC is a simple cloth face covering, which is more than good enough to do the job when combined with strict social distancing and good hygiene.
Some people use scarves or they make their own masks using DIY instructions shared online, but Amazon’s best-selling face masks are finally back in stock right now and they only cost $0.78 each. There’s no telling how much longer they’ll stay in stock, of course, so definitely order a box or three while you still can. But do you know what’s even rarer than face masks to see on Amazon these days? Hand sanitizer — and it’s somehow back in stock right now and ready to ship!
Hurry and you can pick up a 5-pack of BushKlawz 75% Alcohol Instant Hand Sanitizer for $23.99, which is actually a pretty decent price these days. This sanitizer came from out of nowhere and it’s definitely going to sell out fast, so hurry or you’ll miss this rare opportunity. It has 75% ethyl alcohol which is even more than the recommended amount, so you can be certain it’ll kill off all the bacteria and viruses that might be on your hands.
BushKlawz Eco Finest 5 Pack of 2 oz Rinse Free 75% Alcohol Instant Hand Sanitizer (5x Pack of 2…: $23.99 ($4.80 per 2 oz. bottle)
In addition to those 2-ounce bottles, you’ll find 8-ounce spray bottles of Zatural Waterless Hand Cleaner in stock and 2-packs are only $24.99 right now. They ship quickly compared to other options and they also have moisturizers mixed in so you don’t have to worry about drying out your hands. This hand sanitizer is a 62% ethyl alcohol mix, so it’s right in line with the CDC’s recommendations.
Waterless Hand Cleaner – 62% Alcohol – 4 Thieves Essential Oil Synergy (8oz Spray (2 Pack)): $22.99 ($11.50 per 8 oz. bottle)
8-ounce bottles of Natural Concepts Hand Sanitizer Gel are also available in 6-packs for $47.99, or $8 per bottle. This sanitizer is 65% ethyl alcohol, which is once again even stronger than the recommended amount.
Natural Concepts Hand Sanitizer Gel, 6-Pack, 8 oz Bottles, 65% Ethyl Alcohol, Protect Against G…: $47.99 ($8 per 8 oz. bottle

The 10 shows everyone’s binge-watching most this week on Netflix and TV
- Coronavirus quarantine continues and people are watching TV and streaming content more than ever before.
- If you’re running low on content and looking for new series to check out, TV Time’s weekly list is a great place to start.
- This week’s list of the series people are binge-watching most has three new shows with seasons that were just released, and they’re unsurprisingly all Netflix originals.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
We have all been sheltering in place for so long at this point that the days all blend together. For many people, the only thing that differentiates one day from the next is the progress being made through streaming queues. Whether you still subscribe to pay TV or you only use streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video these days, there’s normally plenty to watch. When you’re averaging at least 3 hours of streaming per day, however, shows obviously come and go far more quickly.
If you’re among the many people out there who are looking for new series to watch, you’re likely running into one of two problems. Either there’s so much content out there right now that you don’t know where to start or you have already watched everything on your list and you don’t know where to go from here. Lucky for you, we’re here to help in either case with this week’s list of the 10 most binge-worthy shows out right now.

5 places you can buy coronavirus face masks right now
- The CDC recommends that everyone should wear face coverings anytime they leave their homes, and police are actually issuing fines in some areas to people who go out in public without a mask.
- Amazon’s best-selling face masks are by far the most popular option, with tens of thousands of our readers buying them each week.
- There are other places online where you can buy face masks right now, and we’ll run through five of the best options in this article.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Head over to the CDC website and you’ll see the recommendation clear as day: everyone should wear a face mask anytime they go out in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should go out and spend $20 or more on a single N95 respirator mask that can’t even be reused. The CDC is NOT recommending that people wear medical-grade masks, after all. There is still a big shortage of face masks in hospitals and other healthcare facilities across the country, and you definitely shouldn’t reward unscrupulous sellers who are hawking precious N95 masks to the general public at ridiculous markups. In fact, you absolutely should report them.
The simple fact of the matter is you don’t need a medical-grade face mask to protect yourself because you don’t spend hours at a time treating coronavirus patients like doctors and nurses do. You’re smart, so when you go out you always make sure to practice social distancing and good hygiene. For those reasons, there is a wide range of face masks that will provide you with more than enough protection while shopping in a supermarket or making other quick essential runs out of your home.
The favorite options right now among our readers are the Jointown Safe Shield Face Mask, which costs just $0.78 each, and the LeadPro 3-Layer Face Mask, which is just $0.80. Boxes of 50 are in stock and ready to ship right now at Amazon from both brands, and they happen to be the best-selling face masks on the retailer’s entire site. If you’re handy, you can also make your own DIY coronavirus face masks quickly and easily using materials you already have lying around your home. If you’d rather just buy face masks and you want some options aside from the best-sellers we just told you about, you’ll find five great places to buy face masks listed below.
Amazon
Head over to this face mask page on Amazon’s site and you’ll find a wide range of face masks that are available right now, including the best-sellers we mentioned above. There’s a good mix of 3-layer masks and various types of cloth face masks, and several of the most popular options are ready to ship soon and will be delivered within a week.
Face Mask, Pack of 50: $38.99 ($0.78 / Mask)
Face Mask, Pack of 50: $39.99 ($0.80 / Mask)
Thick 4-Ply Face Shield with Elastic Ear Loop Cover Full Face Anti-Dust(1PCS): $14.99
Face Masks and Protective Face Covers: $8.99+
Amazon Handmade
Did you know Amazon has a whole like Etsy that’s full of handmade products? There are tons of handmade face masks available right now over at Amazon and you’ll be surprised at how affordable some of the options are.
Handmade Face Masks: $10.00+
Sun Lovin’ Roots
While Sun Lovin’ Roots is best known for its women’s wear, the store has pivoted a large portion of its business to protective face masks. You’ll find a very wide range of styles and prints, and the store donates one mask for every three purchased.
Sun Lovin’ Roots Face Masks: $18.00
Arm the Animals
Arm the Animals is another brand that doesn’t normally make face masks, but it’s making plenty of them right now. The shop will also donate one face mask to California hospitals for every mask purchased.
Arm the Animals Face Masks: $18.99
Swaddle Designs
Last but not least, Swaddle Designs has shifted some of its manufacturing capacity away from baby products so it can offer face masks. The company’s masks fit very well and they’re made of comfortable material that contours to the face.
Swaddle Designs Face Masks: $9.99+

You’ll have to pay for Zoom’s new end-to-end encryption feature
- Zoom announced the addition of end-to-end encryption to video calls.
- The security feature will be available in the near future, thanks to the acquisition of Keybase.
- Only paid Zoom accounts will be able to take advantage of it, with subscriptions starting at $14.99 per month.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
The novel coronavirus pandemic forced us to spend more time indoors than ever in recent history. Those who were able to study or work from home replaced their daily rituals with a different environment, one dominated that all sorts of video chat apps that made working from home possible. Zoom rose as the star video conferencing app during the early days of the pandemic, but the more popular it got, the clearer it was the software had some serious privacy and security issues. One of them concerned user data security, as people found out the end-to-end encryption that Zoom claimed protected each video call wasn’t exactly end-to-end encryption. Zoom was using its own form of encryption, which allowed it to access contents from video and audio calls, which is hardly reassuring.
In light of the revelations, Zoom promised to fixed its glaring security issues, and the latest move concerns end-to-end encryption. Your video calls will finally get it. But only if you pay, because end-to-end encryption will not be rolling out to free Zoom calls.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been visiting her followers’ ‘Animal Crossing’ islands
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the defining pop culture byproducts of the coronavirus era, a game that has sold millions of units for Nintendo since its release in March and helped the video game maker, in turn, sell a growing number of Nintendo Switch consoles.
- New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not only a fan of the game — she’s now started visiting the game islands of her social media followers, posting about the interactions on Thursday.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
On the surface, a video game that Wired has described as “late-stage capitalism with talking squirrels” — in which players, among other things, borrow vast sums of money from the owner of a town shop to build out an island whose resources they plunder over time — doesn’t necessarily seem like it jives with the politics of New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Nevertheless, the freshman Democratic socialist has been spending her time like millions of gamers around the world during the coronavirus pandemic. Specifically, playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo’s massively popular game for the Nintendo Switch.
It’s a game that millions of people around the world are playing right now and interacting with each other about online, with the coronavirus quarantines giving Nintendo basically a captive audience for the title (which was released on March 20). It’s proven to be such a popular title for Nintendo, in fact, that data from the game maker shows that New Horizons sold more units in its first three days than any other title in the franchise — as well as any other Nintendo Switch title, period.

NASA’s Mars ‘mole’ is finally digging again, but just barely
- NASA’s InSight lander mole is digging into the surface of Mars once more, but progress is slow and complicated.
- The mole is designed to dig as deep as 16 feet, but it has repeatedly failed to make progress.
- With the robotic lander pushing on the probe, it is slowly catching a grip.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
A NASA instrument that has repeatedly failed to accomplish the task it was designed to do may finally be working. The self-hammering “mole” probe attached to the InSight lander on Mars has spent over a year trying and failing to dig into the planet. Now, as SpaceNews reports, it is making progress. Slow progress, but progress nonetheless.
If you haven’t been following the sad, strange saga of the “mole” that is part of NASA’s InSight Mars lander, let me get you up to speed: InSight landed on Mars back in early 2019 and it wasn’t long before the probe (just one of the lander’s many instruments) started to show signs of trouble.
