Worx Landroid M review: The robot lawn mower you never knew you needed
- The Worx Landroid M robotic lawn mower is an entry-level model that costs a fraction of what you might expect to pay for similar products.
- It does a good job and is surprisingly affordable at $999.99, but there are several accessories you’ll want and they add up quickly.
- The initial installation takes a bit of time, but the Landroid M delivers a truly hands-off mowing experience once it’s up and running.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
I still remember how excited I was the first time I set eyes on a robotic lawnmower. It was a few years ago and I remember wondering why it had never occurred to me before to investigate whether or not something like this existed. It makes just as much sense as a robot vacuum and there’s no reason why people should still have to take care of chores like vacuuming or mowing themselves. Then I took one look at the price tag and immediately understood why people still have to mow their lawns themselves: The robotic mower I happened upon cost thousands of dollars.
Several years have passed since then and the same thing has happened to robot mowers as we saw happen previously with robot vacuums. Yes, you’ll still pay over $1,000 if you want a top-of-the-line Roomba from iRobot, but you can also find very capable alternatives for a fraction of the price. Such is the case with robotic lawnmowers these days, and I recently spent time testing the entry-level Worx Landroid M robotic lawnmower.

An insider may have revealed the exact PS5 release date
- A Twitter user who previously shared details about the PlayStation 5, including a potential design reveal date, also offered a supposed release date for the new console.
- The PS5 release will supposedly take place on November 20th, 2020, according to this anonymous insider.
- Sony is yet to announce the launch date of the next PlayStation, and there’s no guarantee the console will make its holiday 2020 debut.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Microsoft had a brand new Xbox Series X event scheduled for Thursday to demo some of the games that were designed for the next-generation console. Sony will share some PlayStation 5 news in the coming weeks, a blogger with connections in the industry said a few days ago. It wasn’t clear at the time whether Sony would also show off the PS5 design, which is still a mystery. Given that the coronavirus health crisis is far from over, Sony isn’t likely to host any press events soon. That said, it could run its own PS5 games demo virtually without having to show the device to anyone.
A different leaker claimed that the PS5 design will be unveiled on June 2nd via an announcement on Sony’s PlayStation blog, without revealing where he or she obtained the info from. The same person has now followed up with a series of tweets that suggest Sony’s PS5 release date has already been decided.

Anker’s best-selling wireless charger might never be this cheap again
- Anker’s PowerWave Pad is the best-selling fast wireless charger the company has ever made, which is saying a lot considering how many different popular wireless chargers Anker sells.
- It’s a simple model that supports wireless charging speeds up to 10W, and it typically sells for $14 or $15.
- Hurry over to Amazon right now, and you’ll be able to buy a PowerWave Pad wireless charger for just $7.99 with a special coupon — that’s the lowest price ever for this top-selling model.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
Like other charging accessories Anker sells, the company’s wireless charging pads are legendary. It might seem like all wireless chargers are created equal, but anyone who has bought a wireless charger from a no-name brand and had it overheat or die a few months later knows that’s not the case at all. Anker’s products are a cut above the rest, and yet they’re still remarkably affordable. The best-selling Anker PowerWave Pad 10W Fast Wireless Charger pictured above, for example, normally sells for just $14 or $15 over at Amazon.
That is already a fantastic price for such a high-quality wireless charging pad that supports fast wireless charging speeds up to 10W, but you’ll only pay about half that much if you head over to Amazon right now. Thanks to a special coupon code that’s available from now until May 10th, you can get your hands on this best-selling model for just $7.99! That’s a new all-time low price, beating the $8.49 price tag we saw ahead of the holidays around Black Friday last year and a few times earlier this year. Just use the coupon code AKA25332 at checkout and you’re all set.
Anker Wireless Charger, PowerWave Pad, Compatible iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, Xs Max, XR, XS…: $7.99 (use code AKA25332 by 5/10)
Here are some of the key details from Amazon’s product page:
- The Anker Advantage: Enjoyed by over 50 million happy users worldwide, our leading technology will change the way you charge.
- The Need for Speed: With a high-efficiency chipset providing 10W high-speed charging for Samsung Galaxy, and a 5W charging mode to charge iPhones 10% faster than other brands, PowerWave is bridging the gap between wireless and wired charging speeds. For best results, use a Quick Charge adapter (9V/2A) for Samsung Galaxy charging and a 5V/2A adapter for iPhone.
- LED Indicator: The LED indicator lets you know the charging status. If the indicator is FLASHING BLUE, check to make sure that there are no objects between your phone and the charging surface. If the indicator is FLASHING GREEN, make sure you are using a 5V/2A or above adapter, or try a different adapter and cable.
- Case Friendly: Don’t fumble with your phone case. PowerWave transmits charging power directly through protective cases. Rubber/plastic/TPU cases UNDER 5 MM THICKNESS ONLY. Metal attachments or cards will prevent charging.
- What You Get: PowerWave Pad, Micro USB Cable, welcome guide, worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.

New coronavirus revelation changes what we know about the outbreak’s origins
- A recent study that analyzed thousands of genetic sequences of the novel coronavirus concluded the pathogen may have jumped from animals to humans as early as October 2019.
- One report says the first COVID-19 case in China may have been discovered as early as November 17th.
- Separate discoveries from Italy, France, and the US all suggest COVID-19 was spreading weeks or even months earlier than was initially believed.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
A peer-reviewed study looking at the genetics of the novel coronavirus published earlier this week said the virus has been spreading worldwide since late December, which would be much earlier than initially believed. However, the virus hasn’t circulated long enough to infect a significant amount of the population, which would get communities closer to acquiring herd immunity. The concept refers to having enough people in a community develop immunity to a pathogen via infection or vaccine so that outbreaks aren’t possible.
The study supports separate discoveries that say COVID-19 was spreading in several countries in Europe and in the US well before the first official cases were documented. More interestingly, it offers a timeframe for the virus’s jump to humans, saying SARS-CoV-2 could have infected the first people as early as October 2019.

They feature “diamond-enhanced” sound that utilizes a diamond pattern on the driver domes to increase rigidity and deliver deeper bass. They also last 7 hours per charge and get an extra 28 hours from the charging case, and they support fast charging. If they do happen to be running low while you’re listening to music or a podcast, 10 minutes in the case will add another 2 hours of listening time.
These Anker earbuds are terrific and they normally sell for $100. They’re down to just $79.99 right now at Amazon though, which is about half of the average price of AirPods.

A revolutionary new coronavirus drug might be ready this summer
- Researchers are developing antibody-based drugs that could cure COVID-19 patients.
- One company now says that the first monoclonal antibody medicine could be ready as soon as late summer.
- The therapy is based on the same principle as plasma transfusions from donors who have survived a novel coronavirus infection.
- Visit BGR’s homepage for more stories.
The two things that make the novel coronavirus so dangerous are its incredible contagiousness and the lack of drugs to treat COVID-19. That’s why face masks and social distancing measures are so important, and will still be required after regions start opening their economies. The virus won’t just disappear once the peak has passed and the curve has been flattened. It will continue to linger and significant outbreaks will still be possible. We’re getting better at treating the virus than we were a few months ago though, and the more time passes the closer we’ll be to a vaccine.
Remdesivir will become standard therapy for COVID-19, a drug that has been found to reduce the recovery time in some patients. The medication won’t reduce mortality rates, however, and it can’t prevent the infection. That’s what a vaccine would be able to deliver, assuming at least one drug ends up working out of more than 115 candidates currently in development. But we still have a long wait before a vaccine becomes widely available, so it’s a good thing that the first drugs capable of treating COVID-19 could be here as soon as this summer.
