There’s a new Star Wars movie coming out this year, and while it’s not Episode VIII, it’ll be a fun story to see unfold. The action of Rogue One is placed between Episodes III and IV and will tell us how the rebels stole the plans for the Death Star. We’ve already seen the first trailer, and we know who the main characters are. On top of that, spoilers have already hit the web, and now we have a major cameo confirmation: The Star Wars character you want to see most is indeed returning in Rogue One.

We’ve seen plenty of wild experimental smartphone concepts over the years but the new HoloFlex phone designed by Queen’s University’s Human Media Lab is something else. The phone combines 3D holographic images with a flexible display to create what might be a prototype for smartphones of the future.

The Human Media Lab explains that the HoloFlex is “is capable of rendering 3D images with motion parallax and stereoscopy to multiple simultaneous users without head tracking or glasses.” All images on the device’s display are “rendered into 12-pixel wide circular blocks rendering the full view of the 3D object from a particular viewpoint” so you can see every aspect of an object depending on the angle from which you’re looking at it.

If there’s one common refrain we often hear from Android fans, it’s that the experience you get with the stock version of Android is always better than whatever version of Android has been modified by manufacturers such as Samsung, LG and HTC. But is this always true? Recently Pocketnow decided to do an in-depth comparison of the Nexus 6P and the Galaxy S7 edge and it discovered that while there are advantages to using stock Android, they don’t always outweigh the advantages of new features added by OEMs.

Given all of the bizarre advice that analysts and pundits seem to be throwing at Apple these days, you might be forgiven for thinking that the company was in dire straits. From calls to acquire Netflix to pleas to snatch up Tesla and bring Elon Musk on board, the level of panic surrounding Apple’s future might have you believe that the company is losing money and, in the span of just one quarter, has lost its ability to innovate.

That sentiment, however, couldn’t be farther from the truth. Apple’s most recent quarter admittedly didn’t measure up to last year’s earnings report, but the company still managed to post $50 billion in revenue and $10 billion in profits, more than Google, Facebook and Microsoft combined. Furthermore, with the iPhone 7 release looming, we’d all be well advised to perhaps be patient, at least for a few months, and see what type of innovations Apple has in store for us when it releases its next-gen iPhone.

Can’t Stop The Feeling is already available to purchase on iTunes or to stream on Apple Music and Spotify. And a first video for the new song is now available on YouTube.
