U.K. band Radiohead are known for doing things unconventionally, but they’re also incredibly shrewd marketers who know how to build up hype for themselves and their music. Roughly nine years ago, for example, the bank shocked the world by announcing that fans could pay whatever they wanted for the album In Rainbows that was released directly over the band’s website. Now it seems Radiohead is engaging in another zany stunt to promote its upcoming ninth studio album by completely erasing its presence online.

I love the iPhone 6s… but as I’ve said many times, its battery does leave something to be desired, especially now that companies like HTC are releasing phones that purportedly have two-day batteries. So will the iPhone 7 deliver and give me a larger battery after the iPhone 6s had a smaller battery than its predecessor? A new report suggests that it will… but only by a little bit.

There’s a new piece of nasty Android malware floating around that Android users should be on the lookout for. Masquerading as a update for Google’s mobile Chrome browser, the malware is hosted on webpages designed to look like they are official Google or Android landing pages.

Originally spotted by the security firm Zscaler, the malware is designed to monitor call logs, browser history, text messages and banking information. Once installed, the malware logs the aforementioned data and sends it all back to a remote command and control server. What’s more, Zscaler notes that the malware is capable of checking if a user has any antivirus apps installed, and if so, “terminating them to evade detection.”

Over the weekend, HBO’s John Oliver posted a short but sweet video highlighting the myriad of ways in which the world has changed over the last 17 years. Now what’s so special about 17, you might naturally be wondering.

Well, after a 17-year incubation period spent underground, cicada’s in 2016 are set to emerge and greet the world for the first time. And not wanting any cicada to feel out of the loop or likely to make some embarrassing social faux-pas at a party, Oliver took it upon himself to let these hibernating cicada’s know what life is like in the present day.

By taking advantage of the way most employee ID badges work, hackers could simply manufacture counterfeit access cards that would work just like the original badges.

Star Wars is a huge phenomenon and Disney is making sure the hype continues now that its hit movie has already been released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD download. Star Wars: The Force Awakens proved to fans there’s hope for the Star Wars universe, and it made a boatload of cash for Disney in the process. While we wait for Rogue One and Episode VIII to roll out, Disney decided to reshoot Episode VII for us, retelling the story in an entirely different way — with the help of emoji.
