AT&T just can’t seem to get out of its own way sometimes. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson has apologized for an awesomely bad response to a longtime customer that began when Stephenson forwarded the customer’s email to AT&T’s legal department. As The Los Angeles Times reported earlier this week, AT&T customer Alfred Valrie sent Stephenson a letter that politely made suggestions for improving the company’s service. Stephenson forwarded the email to the carrier’s legal team, which sent Valerie back a rather terse response.

Whenever Apple comes out to defend a potential flaw that has a “-gate” suffix — think Antennagate (iPhone 4), Bendgate (iPhone 6) or Batterygate / Chipgate (iPhone 6s) — it probably means that, yes, there’s a problem. Apple’s confirmation of the issue usually sounds reassuring, which suggests the company is working on a fix if it hasn’t already found one, which was certainly true for Antennagate and Bendgate. With Chipgate, Apple might have fixes in the works, including one that it will likely enjoy enacting: Apparently, Samsung might lose the A10 chip business to TSMC, which could be Apple’s way of preventing potential chip-related issues next year.

How to get 3D Touch functionality and Live Photos on your iPhone 6

%name How to get 3D Touch functionality and Live Photos on your iPhone 6 by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

3D Touch is the main new feature on the iPhone 6s, offering iOS users ways to navigate apps and multitasking even faster than before (you can, however, turn it off without hindering your iPhone 6s experience). But because 3D Touch needs special hardware components to work, including a unique sensor array in the display and a Taptic Engine, the feature is not backward-compatible. Apple can’t just use software to enable it on the iPhone 6 or older models. Live Photos is another feature unique to the iPhone 6s, transforming simple photos into vivid memories that feature video and sound.

Well guess what: There are now ways to bring these two unique iPhone 6s features to iPhone 6 and older devices, but there are some caveats you should be aware of.
