Oh dear. There’s about to be a spike in America’s divorce rate. Ars Technica brings us word that the Impact Team, which previously hacked into the database of infamous cheating website Ashley Madison, has now posted user information for its tens of millions of members online. And this hack is a lot more than just users’ names and email addresses — it also includes “PayPal accounts used by Ashley Madison executives, Windows domain credentials for employees, and a large number of proprietary internal documents.” Oh dear.

We’ve known for a while that Trevor Noah will take over The Daily Show from Jon Stewart, and now that the famed host has said his goodbyes it’s time for Noah to bring his humor to Comedy Central’s TV hit. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah premieres on September 28th, but you can already enjoy a first new ad for it.

Slow motion video can capture a lot of cool things but you still need to have a really awesome slo-mo camera to faithfully capture what a bullet really looks like when it’s fired from a pistol. The team at MythBusters recently did just that by filming a pistol being fired at an insane 73,000 frames per second.

Mankind reached an impressive milestone in mid-July when flew a spacecraft by Pluto and snapped the best pictures of the dwarf planet the world has ever seen. We’ve yet actually to send a human that far into outer space, but NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft is still a wonderful accomplishment that we can now appreciate more than ever thanks to a new video.

Wi-Fi in your home probably isn’t as good as you want it to be. In fact, there are probably plenty of times when you have to reset your modem and/or router just to get it working again… and even then you might not get a consistent signal in many places in your house. Google, however, thinks that it has a fix for all that: A new Wi-Fi router called OnHub that promises to end your Wi-Fi headaches for good.

I love going to the movies. When I was younger, I used to go to the nearest theater at least twice a month, being sure to stay current on the latest blockbusters. As ticket prices have gone up and the barrier to entry for streaming a movie online has decreased dramatically, my habits have changed, and now I’m lucky if I make it to the theater five times in a year.
But I miss it. I miss going to the movies, which is why I was excited to find out about Dealflicks earlier today.

Google-owned company Boston Dynamics is well known for creating robot cheetahs and robot dogs and now it’s started taking humanoid robots out for a spin. In a video recently posted on YouTube, Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert gave a video demonstration of his company’s Atlas humanoid robot walking over rough terrain in the woods.

One connected home platform that has grown quite a bit would have to be Wink. It comes out of Quirky, which designs products based on feedback from the public.
