After 15 seasons on the air, American Idol is coming to an end. The arguably iconic show originally debuted all the way back in 2002 and helped launch the careers of artists that have since become household names, with Kelly Clarkson and Phillip Phillips being two prominent examples.
Whether you loved or hated the show, or even if you were wholly indifferent, one can’t deny the impact American Idol has had on popular culture. In addition to creating bona fide music stars and pop idols, the show’s success also had a tremendous impact on the broader TV landscape. The 2014 Moto X was one of last year’s best Android phones but its camera still left something to be desired when compared to the cameras on Samsung’s flagship phones, particularly the Galaxy Note 4. A new leak flagged by PhoneArena suggests that Motorola is devoting resources toward addressing this flaw and give Moto X users the first-rate cameras they deserve.

Security researchers at Symantec recently discovered a new piece of malware that, believe it or not, incorporates a number of themes from the hit TV show Breaking Bad. The malware itself primarily affects users in Australia and represents a new strain of an existing ransomware trojan dubbed Trojan.Cryptolocker.S.
The ransomware, which only targets Windows machines, operates by encrypting all of a user’s files and subsequently demanding a timely payment of $450 Australian Dollars (about $355 in U.S. dollars) to decrypt them. Failure to promptly make the $450 payment results in the decryption fee rising to $1000 Australian Dollars.

Windows 10 has gotten technology journalists and bloggers incredibly excited about the future of Windows, but now it’s time to take a look at Windows’ past. The odds are fairly good that even if you’re old enough to remember using it first hand, you’ve probably forgotten all about Windows 1.01 at this point.
