Sony on Monday unveiled its next flagship Android smartphone, the Xperia Z4 that appeared in a plethora of rumors so far. Unfortunately, the company has only announced the handset for its home market, meaning that Android fans from countries other than Japan won’t be able to really purchase it yet. However, Sony has planned a flagship announcement for international markets for late May, according to Russian publication Hi-Tech.mail.ru.

After teasing its special Netflix offer for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge buyers the other day, T-Mobile on Thursday revealed pricing details for the two new Samsung handsets. In typical “uncarrier” fashion, T-Mobile says that “will not only send you the new Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge before it launches,” but it will “even cover every penny of your old phone payments and your ETFs when you switch to the Un-carrier.”

Apple is reportedly working on three new iPhones for 2015, including high-end iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models, but also a cheaper 4-inch iPhone 6c. The latest round of rumors was first noted in an earlier report from Digitimes. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard Apple is working on a smaller 4-inch iPhone once again, and it’s totally feasible that Apple would make a new smaller iPhone this year; a new low-cost iPhone would allow Apple to include some of its most important new technologies, such as Touch ID, Apple Pay and Health features.

Google Maps for Android and Google Maps for the iPhone may never have true feature parity. This is due in part to the limitations Apple puts in place on third-party application developers, but Google also seems to reserve some features and design elements solely for users of its own mobile platform.
One such feature was just added to Google Maps on Wednesday evening, and iPhone users should definitely be jealous.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus marked Apple’s first foray into the world of larger screened iPhones, a strategy that has worked out exceedingly well for the Cupertino-based company. During the company’s 2014 holiday quarter, for example, Apple sold nearly 75 million iPhones.

What on Earth is going on right now?
Smartphones are like anything else. When you pick one up it’s fresh and new, and the novelty overpowers everything else. You’re so excited to have this new gadget you’ve been waiting for that you can’t even see its flaws, serious though they may be. Then, over time, the novelty wears off and the flaws become more pronounced, gnawing at you each and every time you pick up your phone. And that’s when the complaining begins.

Android fans, it’s time to breathe a sigh of relief.
