Verizon and AT&T probably aren’t fans of Sprint’s plan to buy T-Mobile and now they have yet another reason to hate it: Apparently it will make T-Mobile CEO John Legere more powerful. Bloomberg’s sources say that Legere, the notoriously foul-mouthed CEO with a reputation for shameless publicity stunts, will stay on as CEO of a newly merged Sprint and T-Mobile if the two companies’ reported $32 billion merger proposal passes regulatory inspection. Jonathan Chaplin, an analyst at New Street Research, tells Bloomberg that giving Legere this additional power will make him “twice as crazy” because he’ll have “double the asset base to work with.”

Netflix rocked the television industry when it announced its $100 million deal for House Of Cards. The star-studded series showed the world that Netflix meant business. It wanted to be the HBO of the Internet. As for delivering on that promise, House Of Cards was… good. The production quality was most certainly impressive and the acting was solid, for the most part, but the writing was a bit lacking and the storyline was painfully predictable.

The real jewel in Netflix’s original programming crown, it turns out, is Orange Is the New Black.

Apple’s stock will plummet to below $100 per share on Monday… but it’s nothing to worry about. Apple’s shares, which closed Friday’s trading at $645.57, will begin trading on Monday somewhere south of $100 for the first time in more than seven years, and it won’t be because the company has missed Trip Chowdry’s deadline for releasing an iWatch. Instead, the lower price will reflect Apple’s wild 7-for-1 stock split taking effect after all current shareholders receive six additional shares of Apple stock for every share they now own. StreetInsider points out that the split officially took place on June 2nd earlier this week, the share price won’t reflect this change until trading starts on Monday.

According to TechCrunch’s sources, Apple has purchased Spotsetter, a social search application that could help Apple add some interesting new features to its oft-ridiculed Maps application on the iPhone.
