Because Apple CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly promised investors that exciting new products are coming in 2014.

Apple crushed its March-quarter earnings without having launched any new products since November 2013. Imagine what might happen once all these “exciting new products” finally hit store shelves.

With WWDC 2014, however, there’s good news and bad news.

Beyond that, we’ve seen dozens of mockups based on what are claimed to be schematics of Apple’s new iPhones that leaked from Foxconn.

But iPhone 6 leaks may soon be harder to come by — Apple has reportedly assembled a task force that will look to put an end to iPhone 6 leaks.

Ugh, not another smartwatch. But wait — Microsoft thinks it knows how to make you care about it. According to Forbes, Microsoft is working hard to release a smartwatch this summer that will be the first smartwatch to be compatible with iOS, Android and Windows Phone. This means that, unlike with the Samsung smartwatches released so far, you won’t need to own a phone from a particular brand to make the watch at all useful.

Is this Motorola’s next flagship Android phone?

Motorola so far launched only low-end devices this year, including the Moto E and the Moto G 4G LTE, but the company is working on a Moto X+1 version, a Moto X successor that was already confirmed on the company’s website. The device, expected to offer user Moto X-like customization options and sell for around $400 should hit all major U.S. carriers later this year. While it’s not clear when the phone will launch, a couple of purported Moto X+1 images showing the handset have hit the web.
