Apple still hasn’t responded publicly to reports that hackers have breached Apple’s iCloud system and hacked it in order to unlock stolen iPhones. While that doesn’t bode well, the company did at least respond to a more recent series of reports of another iCloud breach that allowed hackers to digitally hijack iPhones and hold them hostage for a ransom.

Apple is expected to announce its Beats acquisition this week, the New York Post has learned, and the iPhone maker will apparently acquire Dr. Dre’s company for less than initially expected. Apparently leaks in the press – not related to Dre’s acknowledgement of the deal recorded on video – convinced Apple lawyers to re-evaluate the purchase, and offer Beats “just” $3 billion, down $200 million from the previous offer.

An Audi driver in Calgary, AB had their car badly crushed by falling bricks from a crumbling office building downtown. According to The Huffington Post, the large hole measuring about six metres by four metres has appeared on the side of a Calgary office building that’s been shedding bricks from its facade since last week.

There have been no reports of injuries, but the debris heavily damaged an Audi A5 that had to be left in a parking lot when the problem all began. The gaping hole on the side of the building showed up Sunday evening when several large chunks of construction material let go, smashing onto the ground and cars in the adjacent parking lot… READ MORE
