The OnePlus 7T features a slightly better processor than the Galaxy Note 10 and Pixel 4 and a much better price than both of them. At $599, it’s even cheaper than the cheapest iPhone 11 phone. But what if I told you there was a different Android flagship from China ready to launch in the US with 7T-grade specs and an even better price? And what if I told you said phone features that amazing no-notch, no-hole-punch design we haven’t seen from other smartphone vendors?

A display of hot tubs at the North Carolina Mountain State Fair is being blamed for well over 100 cases of Legionnaires’ disease that began popping up shortly after the event. In an update to a bulletin issued by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the startling statistics are laid bare.

Thus far, a total of 134 confirmed cases have been tallied. All of the affected individuals attended the fair and presumably walked close enough to the hot tub display to breath in tiny droplets of water that had become airborne. 88 of the cases included hospitalization and two individuals have died as a result of their infections.

One of HBO’s best shows of all time is getting a sequel on Apple TV+

%name One of HBO’s best shows of all time is getting a sequel on Apple TV+ by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple is continuing to flesh out the lineup of programming that’s teed up for its forthcoming streaming video service, Apple TV+, which is set to launch on November 1. And on Friday, the company announced one of the most significant additions yet to the pile of content — it’s the first TV series Apple is actually making in-house and will likewise fully own via a new internal Apple content studio.

Interestingly, the series is actually a sequel to HBO’S Band of Brothers, a WWII miniseries that’s arguably one of the finest shows HBO has ever produced. The new nine-episode series is called Masters of the Air, and the creative team behind it includes Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks who intend this to be the third installment in their WWII saga that began with Band of Brothers.

I’d be lying if I said Men In Black wasn’t one of my most anticipated additions to Netflix’s streaming slate this week. It’s probably been close to five years since I watched, and I’m ready for an excuse to jump back in. That said, the show I am most excited to check out on Netflix this week is Living With Yourself starring Paul Rudd, which is giving me the same vibes as Maniac and Russian Doll, which are two of my favorite Netflix originals of all time.

Other than Karate Kid, I don’t know much about the rest of the lineup, but Meryl Streep stars in The Laundromat, so that might be worth watching (despite the overwhelmingly negative reviews online).

It takes decades for polystyrene to break down, even in direct sunlight

%name It takes decades for polystyrene to break down, even in direct sunlight by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Plastics are truly incredible. They’re typically cheap to make, safe for many applications, and they last just about forever. When they’re being used, they’re the perfect solution to many problems, but once discarded, the qualities that make them great quickly turn them into an environmental nightmare.

Polystyrene, a wildly popular type of plastic, can withstand seriously punishing conditions while refusing to break down, and environmentalists have urged lawmakers to ban or dramatically limit its production because it tends to pop up in the worst possible locations. Now, a new study sheds some light on just how durable it really is, revealing that even under the best possible circumstances, a single piece of polystyrene litter can hang around for decades.

This sneaky AT&T fee will make you absolutely furious

%name This sneaky AT&T fee will make you absolutely furious by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’ve been pretty hard on the cable and telecom industries for all the sneaky fees they like to tack onto bills in a variety of ways, such that their inscrutable nature is one reason people so despise the companies and long for a much simpler relationship and pricing structure. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, though, something else comes along to prove you wrong. In this case, it’s a fee AT&T is reportedly charging business Internet customers, and it will definitely elicit some frustrated groans.

CDC: Stop kissing your pet turtle

%name CDC: Stop kissing your pet turtle by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

An outbreak of salmonella infections across 13 states has prompted the Centers for Disease Control to issue a rather bizarre warning to the owners of pet turtles: please stop kissing them. A new bulletin regarding the outbreak also cites “snuggling” as a potential avenue of infection.

With a total of 21 confirmed cases of salmonella infection and the majority of affected individuals noting they recently had contact with a pet turtle, the outbreak doesn’t have a single source. The turtles don’t appear to have all been bought from the same pet store or anything of that nature, but turtles are known to carry salmonella and it would seem too many people are getting cuddly with their tiny friends.

‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ kicks off the Netflix-Samsung partnership

Friday marked the arrival of a long-awaited follow-up to AMC’s Breaking Bad — six years after the series ended and left everyone wondering what’s in store for Jesse Pinkman as he escaped the clutches of the neo-Nazi gang and now that he’s finally free of Walter White.

To answer that question, we have Netflix’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which is now streaming on the service in one of the company’s hybrid streaming/theatrical releases, and early reviews are already pegging the film as a fitting bow on one of the greatest TV series of all time.
