New report says Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro will be released sooner than expected

It seems almost like a certainty that Apple will introduce an overhauled MacBook model featuring the largest screen size since the 17-inch Pro’s cancellation. And the best thing about the new 16-inch version is that it won’t have a bigger footprint than the current 15-inch MacBook Pro. Recent reports claimed that Apple was able to reduce the size of the bezels on its 15.4-inch laptop to fit even more display into the same space. The new device is expected to arrive this fall, and there’s a new source that suggests it might be released even sooner than expected.

Android phones are finally exciting now that there’s no new iPhone design to steal

%name Android phones are finally exciting now that there’s no new iPhone design to steal by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Apple’s new iPhone 11 series handsets are now almost exactly one month away from being announced. If the huge leak from earlier this week turns out to be accurate — and we have every reason to believe it will, considering the source — then the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and iPhone 11R will be unveiled on September 10th or 11th ahead of their release on Friday, September 20th. While nothing is official just yet, the rumor mill has already told us just about everything we need to know about Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup. There are simply too many hands in the pie, so it’s impossible to keep most of the details surrounding unreleased iPhones a secret.

We know that the iPhone 11 series will be a big upgrade in terms of power and performance, but we also know that it’s going to be a relatively small upgrade where design is concerned. In fact, this year’s new iPhone 11 series is expected to feature the exact same design as last year’s iPhone XS series apart from the new camera array on the back of each of the three models. The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max will have a new triple-lens camera housed in a big, square camera bump, while the iPhone 11R will have a dual-lens camera in a similar square camera bump. It’s a bit of a disappointment for some Apple fans, but it’s also an interesting development in the smartphone industry as a whole, and we’ll explain why.

Are AirPods popular because they’re good headphones, or do people think they’re good headphones because they’re popular? Truth be told, we think it’s a little from column A and a little from column B. They actually do feature impressive sound quality, but they also have a bad design with smooth plastic tips. That means they don’t create a seal in your ear, so all the bass leaks out and the sound quality is just average. Instead of spending $159 for average sounding earbuds, check out the SoundPEATS TrueFree True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds on Amazon. They’re under $30 and they have silicone tips so all the sound is delivered right where it should be.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 copied another important iPhone feature, and you almost missed it

%name Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 copied another important iPhone feature, and you almost missed it by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

After all the leaks rumors that have been spilling out over the past few months, Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 10 lineup is finally official. Company executives took the stage in New York City earlier this week to take the wraps off of Samsung’s latest and greatest Android phablets, and they’re spectacular. The new Galaxy Note 10 series is easily the most impressive smartphone series Samsung has created to date, featuring a stunning all-screen design and cutting-edge specs. These new Note phones are powerful and sleek, and they improve upon everything that Samsung fans love about the Galaxy Note series.

Since just about everything there was to know about Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 10 series leaked long in advance, there wasn’t much left to surprise us with when Samsung finally took the stage at its Unpacked press conference in New York. There was something we uncovered after the show was over though, and while no one knew about this big change ahead of Samsung’s event, the new feature really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise at all. Why? Because Apple did it first.

The first benchmarks for the Galaxy S11’s processor just leaked, and it still can’t touch last year’s iPhones

%name The first benchmarks for the Galaxy S11’s processor just leaked, and it still can’t touch last year’s iPhones by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung just launched the Galaxy Note 10, complete with a brand new Exynos 9825 processor that’s slightly faster than the Galaxy S10’s Exynos 9820, at least in benchmarks. However, these chips can’t offer the same performance as Apple’s 2018 iPhones when it comes to tests. And a new leak indicates that the Galaxy S11’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor won’t beat the A12 series either. But the 865 should deliver notable performance gains over the Snapdragon 855.

%name Huawei just unveiled HarmonyOS, which sounds a lot like the OS Google is building to replace Android by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’ve been talking about Huawei’s Android alternative for quite a while now, and the Chinese company has finally unveiled it. It’s called HongmengOS in China, which translates to HarmonyOS for the rest of the world. It’s unclear whether the OS is coming to phones first. But in the future, it’ll be deployed across a bunch of other smart devices that can benefit from advanced operating systems that can run apps — think smartwatches, smart cars, and other gadgets. And if it wasn’t already clear, Harmony OS sounds a lot like Fuchsia, the operating system Google is developing to one day replace Android. Fuchsia is also supposed to work on a large variety of devices, not just smartphones.

Hubble just snapped a glorious new image of Jupiter

%name Hubble just snapped a glorious new image of Jupiter by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

The Hubble Space Telescope is really, really good at spotting distant objects in space, but it’s just as well-suited for catching a snapshot of planets that are a lot closer, like our very own Jupiter. On June 27th the spacecraft did just that, and the resulting image (and animation) might be one of its finest ever.

The photo, which NASA has chosen to highlight in a new post, shows the gas giant in all its glory. We get to see the player’s intricate cloud layers, raging storms, and of course the iconic Great Red Spot.
