Disney keeps upping its streaming game ante, first announcing the arrival of Disney+ in November and then yesterday a mega-bundle that includes Disney+, as well as Hulu and ESPN+, for the same price as some Netflix subscriptions. But the entertainment giant isn’t finished trying to front-load the launch of its Netflix rival by giving people plenty of reasons well in advance to sign up.

During the company’s third-quarter earnings conference call with analysts, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that a number of reboots are also coming to the service, including one of Home Alone.

Apple’s first foldable device could land in 2020, but might not be an iPhone

%name Apple’s first foldable device could land in 2020, but might not be an iPhone by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

We’re well into August, and the foldable phones that we were promised still aren’t here. The Galaxy Fold turned out to be a huge failure instead of the breakthrough gadget Samsung wanted it to be, and the Mate X was also postponed. The foldable Motorola RAZR is also missing in action, and other significant players in the mobile business have yet to unveil their takes on foldable phones.

When it comes to Apple, the company is widely expected to launch foldable products of its own, although there’s nothing official from the company to back up any of those claims. A new report, however, indicates that Apple’s first foldable product might not be an iPhone, although a foldable iPhone would follow it.

iOS app tries to scam unsuspecting iPhone users with fake heart rate readings

%name iOS app tries to scam unsuspecting iPhone users with fake heart rate readings by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

It’s no secret that Apple can be incredibly inconsistent when it comes to deciding which apps are granted entry into the App Store. In years past, we’ve seen Apple let some questionable apps in while simultaneously rejecting other apps for the most trivial of infractions.

That said, there’s no doubt Apple is always working hard to make the review process more transparent, seamless, and developer-friendly. And while some slip-ups are inevitable, it still somewhat mind-boggling that Apple’s App Store gatekeepers will often let in apps that are downright scammy and designed to bilk non-suspecting users out of their hard-earned money.

We love Apple’s latest MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook laptops. We also love all the cool new high-end Chromebooks out there. What we don’t love, however, is the fact that all these notebook computers only have USB-C ports these days, and nothing else. In fact, we would go as far as to say we hate it. Nothing it going to change anytime soon unfortunately, which means you have to take matters into your own hands to get all those ports back. Check out the MOKiN USB C HDMI Adapter on Amazon, which is available right now for just $26.08 after you clip the coupon on Amazon.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ build upon the Galaxy S10’s killer design overhaul

%name Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ build upon the Galaxy S10’s killer design overhaul by Authcom, Nova Scotia\s Internet and Computing Solutions Provider in Kentville, Annapolis Valley

Samsung changed the landscape of the smartphone industry earlier this year when it debuted the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. With their Infinity-O displays, ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, and up to three rear cameras, Samsung’s latest flagships truly felt like the future of the smartphone. So how would the company top itself just months later with the inevitable release of the next Galaxy Note? Or would it be better off not fixing what isn’t broken?

Based on my limited time with both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+, Samsung opted to split the difference, tinkering with their design and adding a few features while keeping the spirit of the Galaxy S10 intact. The result is a smartphone that doesn’t really feel like a necessity for power users the way some Note models have in the past, but should satisfy Samsung fans looking for more power and screen real estate.

NASA’s Mars 2020 rover is now less than one year away from finally being shot skyward toward the Red Planet, and NASA engineers are hard at work, ensuring all the spacecraft’s systems function as intended. In a new blog post by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the agency reveals that the high-tech rover just passed a particularly intense eye exam.

The rover is packed with sensors, including lenses that will offer scientists a stunning glimpse at the Martian landscape, but before its electronic eyes received a clean bill of health they were tested on a series of dotted grids placed from 1 to 40 meters away.
